I agree, it’s definitely a high contact/risk area. If you’re slightly challenged in the leg department (like my little pins), the side skirts aren’t the easiest of things to avoid.

This is mine. I got it fitted before taking delivery and I wouldn’t change it. Maybe it’s because I have one but I see the original line and feel like something would be missing without it. In some pictures, it looks quite full on but I think it’s actually more subtle in real life (in a good way).

It does seem slightly on the high side as it’s effectively a new car detail, which most companies will offer for a little less. If the interior, wheels & glass are all being done, then £1,000 wouldn’t be too bad, if £1,200 is the overall price then I’d expect the best of jobs being done...

Yeah mine had to template the door handles and headlight washers themselves but they've done a great job with it. Keyless entry/locking still works perfectly.

My old MX-5 used to drain in to the boot. If there was a heavy downpour and the drain holes weren't super clean, the boot would fill up with a few inches of water haha

For the UK ones, I believe the prefix is: PJ15618800 Then the colour codes are the same. For example, my Sapphire Blue spoiler was: PJ15618800J0

Also a reminder that if anyone is with Churchill, they won't insure the GR86 so you'll have to cancel your policy with them and find an alternative. Or at last they wouldn't insure me on the 86 (I'm guessing due to location?)

One thing I was going to ask about being a right/left knobber... Does this influence the layout of Apple Carplay? On the screen that's split with music/maps, the maps on my unit are on the right hand side, however in another vehicle that I've driven recently , the maps were on the left hand...

They are surprisingly pronounced side sills to be fair. My little legs barely miss them when I get out of the car haha.
