I believe that's @Hicko
It also may be an older photo as it's parked in the same place, next to the same Porsche that was there when I popped over a few weeks ago (unless it's just very coincidental)
My closest garage that has Momentum is 10 miles away (or 25 if I don't want to be involved in a drive-by shooting) so I get whatever premium fuel that I can get at the time haha. My local is Sainsbury's so it usually gets that.
I’d definitely recommend a wheel brush to reach the inner width of the wheel! Especially on a black rim…
Something like an EZ detail brush, Wheel Woolie or an Auto Finesse barrel brush would work a treat.
Yeah, I had heard that boxer engines were very smooth (although this might be reserved for a Porsche flat six) so I was expecting a slightly gentler idle but mine is also kinda rough so I’m guessing it’s just another quirk of the car, like the speaker grill/A-pillar squeak.
I opt for the “stranger danger!” route when I am forced to interact with people.
The most I’ve had said about the car is “it looks like a shark” from one of the feral children on my estate, which I’m (reluctantly) inclined to agree with.
I don’t mind if there are more. The rarity is still going to be there, I still smile and turn my head when I see a GT86 and there are plenty of those around (compared to the GR).
Plus, if there are more GR86s, it might bring insurance prices down to something more palatable!
I've decided to be a little bit naughty and now I'm at 500 miles, I think I may increase the rev limiter by 500rpm every hundred miles or so. This still gives me plenty of room before I get to the actual redline but also allows me to use more of the rev band, instead of going straight to the...
My confession is also wheel based. I don’t think I like the colour, it’s a weird dull black that seems to have a hint of blue (although that’s from the one time I’ve cleaned them and it might be slightly skewed as my car is blue so clips have been a reflection thing)
Absolutely!!
This has been a real bug bare of mine with the car and I hate finger marks on the back of the car.
My old car didn’t have any insulation on the inside of the bootlid so I could just use one of the (admittedly sharp) holes to close the boot but this has nothing. I started with...
I want to know what they did with the colour correction in post production. They really did the MX-5 wrongly, especially the interior shots!
Also, didn't they slag off the MX-5's economy in the write up but then said it was great here?
Good to hear how well the 86 did in this company though, it...
I couldn’t agree with you more; for me, the HKS Spec L II is by far the best sounding exhaust that fits with the sports car style.
I keep eyeing one up but can’t justify the cost (yet).
I got full PPF, partly because the quotes I received weren’t too dissimilar between the contact areas and full coverage and partly because it was easier to get that done than get the “track pack” and then get the rest detailed and ceramic coated.
It was expensive but I was lucky enough to have...
