GR Yaris GR Yaris Mk3 (MY2028->)

Thought of continuing the tradition so opened up a thread for Mk3 GR Yaris. Opinions, rumours and facts, what it will have? G20E Engine? Or will they cancel the model and move to MR2 platform? I'd have hard time deciding on MR2 or Yaris. MR2 likely better on track, on price point it will be...

Wonder why they don't use water cooled IC that get heat exhange from front installed cell?? That roof install looks frankenstein. 265/35/18 rear tyres.

    GR Yaris Rear Toe adjustment

yes stock. 2' 45min front, 2' 30 rear (neg camber). slight toe out front (was it 0.06 or so) and rear small toe in. If I'd adjust I'd add front camber to 3 or even to 3'15 and maybe reduce rear camber a click.

    GR Yaris Rear Toe adjustment

my car is quite ok for road but neutral on track. Although occasionally it breaks into mid corner oversteer if pushed. I'd say on track you can run more aggressive setting whereas on road as its more uneven and surface changes too aggressive can bite you if not aware. just be cautious.

    GR Yaris Hello there

well have tried to do every 10tkm although cannot recall when I did it last time - maybe at 50tkm? Now ticking at 62tkm. front transfer box oil looked worse than rear that was actually okeyish. Wouldn't be a bad idea to add passive cooler there. All rally cars have separate cooler for transfer...

GR Yaris POWER STEERING FAILS mid turn on the Nürburgring

According TAE its normal operation that power steering is missing 😂 Maybe its just GR Yaris "Race package" (as its was sold in Finland) that has family wagon steering, only for slow stuff. Whaat?!

    GR Yaris Hello there

Holiday day so transfer box oil change and front pads change. Am i getting weak, old, or both, but filling that box juice with manual syringe is effin crazy push!! Started thinking that maybe next time is worth paying for the service vs getting an ruptured aneurysm.. Oil smelled very very bad.

GR Yaris POWER STEERING FAILS mid turn on the Nürburgring

Diagnosis showed too high temps for calculated temp vs. actual. (calculated over 100'C, actual 67'C). Fun to see what TME responds. we are able to sent the data out next week. What is interesting that two temp values were different so something is putting of the other value..

GR Yaris POWER STEERING FAILS mid turn on the Nürburgring

Car was in diagnosis - data shows steering overheating protection so apparently unit just cannot tolerate abuse. MK2 has revised power steering so maybe they have improved it. would be nice to see if its possible to upgrade but maybe not plug and play.

    GR Yaris Hello there

well. last track session where did rather many hot laps got temps to 100-105'C. last summer in hot weather oil went to 110-115'C. so very well. Water temps stay usually btw 82-90'C even during push mode.
