I'm afraid we are leaving for the boat at around 17... We'll be driving the whole day so if its possible swing by earlier so I can give you a ride. (If you want of course.)
There is no oil pressure to talk about after the turbo to speak of so I don't see how it could fail?
I run the return like that on 2 diffrent turbocharged enginge (trackcars both so taking some abuse) without any problems...
I'll promise to update on any progress, backwards or forwards equally... My main concern right now is the stock clutch will probably not like much lote power but good thing with modern turbo cars that they can cap power really easy.
On the streets I mostly drive on "low" boost. (295whp) becuse...
Durability isn't that simple to diagnos or just to say that the transfercase splits open at a certain torque number. It's almost always down the driver and maintenance when something breaks. Of course strapping a huge full frame Garret on a stock engine will give you a certain result most...
Mine see a little less boost but have 255/265 semis on and I drive pretty hard on track. Would love a full frame kit but the wallet hasn't recovered from last years parts and tuning yet. 😇
TTE hasn't the best rep in Sweden sadly but was the only choice 1.5 years ago when I ordered mine.
Now...
But with 0.5 liter "extra' oil the preassure stays happy during braking. Its a easy way to scare the driver with a cel and limpmode in the middle of a turn on the track. Tried it once and now I always check the oil level before trackaday. (Like you should if your not an idiot like me.🙄)
Problem is the same regardless of powerlevel. On a stock car the light doesn't go on as easy as with the syvecs. On the syvecs it also throws a cel and put the car in a sort of limpmode. All configured with saftey for the engine in mind.
I had the warning zero times on stock ecu but as I changed to Syvecs which logs a higher rate I had the warning one or twice. It's only for a few tenths of a second but enough to trigger a cel. Overfill with oil (I also changed to 5/30 for temp reasons) and never had a issue again.
I only choose hybrid because nobody had a complete kit ready.
I would love to see what a G25 could do on high boost but you need some more stuff to utilise all that Power and everybody might not want to go "all-in".
If I would start all over I wouldn't bother with turbo at all. Plenty enough...
