Oh I have all sorts of vibrations. The most annoying one coming from steering wheel at low rpms. Plastic vibration noise right in front of my face. Couldn't yet figure out what piece exactly it is coming from though.
It's a shame we don't have many active users from Japan in these forums. Twitter algorithm picked up that I own a GR Yaris and has been bombarding me with GRY content from Japan and honestly it's great what they are doing over there. I wish we could discuss more with them in these forums.
Same here, but only works with Torque Pro due to the diagnostic trick implemented in Torque. Not working in Race Chrono Pro sadly. I believe MagnusT on the other forum has developed a module based on an esp32 board for this purpose. Such a shame he seems to be no longer active in the community.
Someone on twitter seems to have installed a type 26 steering wheel on a type 20. I am closely following this as I am very unsatisfied with my steering wheel quality (plastic makes vibration sounds etc.)
I have only read/heard good things about them. Some prefer them to the Cup 2s even. I am a big Michelin fan but I wasn't excited about the idea of getting a 10+ year old tyre (Cup 2s). Unless Michelin releases Cup 3s in this size, I see myself keep going back to these simply because how good...
Thanks! Speed wasn't working anyways so yeah I should probably get rid of it :)
I will look into CAN bus broadcast frames. I haven't seen much about it yet.
Do you have any recommendation regarding tyre information? They used to work in torque pro but not working here. Probably due to...
I upgraded my gps + obd logging system to include a gps module (Racebox micro) that integrates seamlessly and turns on/off with the car. 3D printed a mount for it that fits in the mirror assembly and taps into the auto-dimming mirror cable. More information...
Been working on a better integrated data logging solution.
GPS
Instead of ordering a ready made GPS with built in battery like a normal person I decided to buy the DIY version from Racebox which supports all the features the normal ones does but doesn't come with a power source, therefore in a...
They are 255/40/17 so definitely more sidewall than the stock ps4s.
I can’t comment much on comfort because, I also installed lowering springs which reduced the comfort. Also the sidewalls on the ad09 are supposed to be much harder than the ps4s so that somehwat negates the benefits of more...
I gave up on my rally dreams and decided to focus on asphalt/track performance from now on. Got a new set of wheels and tyres, lowering springs and a proper alignment.
Protrack One 9x17
Yokahama Advan AD09 255/40/17
Eibach Pro Kit
There is a white GRY in Porsche Weissach (where GT cars are made) employee parking lot with black/gunmetal wheels in front and green ones in the back. Always chuckle when I see it. Definitely a bold choice!
Today I fitted some parts into the car 😂
Not that anyone’s wondering but fitting
- 4x 9x17 Rims
- 4x 255/40/17 tyres
- 4x springs in the box
into our little cars is a challenge. Took me 20 minutes.
I am thinking of adding an indicator for when vitals get close to the limit so that it will be easy to spot without constantly checking the values.
I am glad to see we had the same vitals in mind.
About the “if the car is performing st its best” part, I don’t even know how to read those...
Thanks to everyone in this forum for the work they've put into finding these pids. I am creating a custom GRY-dashboard for track/performance use on top of aa-torque. I have been working on the layout so far and came up with this. Labels and some values are wrong but you get the idea :)
If you...
