Nice Martin, good choice.Decision made - I have ordered a set of WedsSport SA-75R wheels in 18 x 8.5 ET45. They will ship from Japan so it'll be a wait, but I'm always patient with these things. They should look great on my Sapphire Blue BRZ.
I can transfer my nearly new 225/40 Goodyear F1 tyres (which are superb) and consider going up to 235/40 on the next change if I so wish.

Excelent choice they will look GReatThanks. The 18 x 8.5 are 8.8kg. Compare with the stock BRZ 18 x 7.5 at 10.4kg plus 1kg for the 15mm Japspeed spacers. That's a weight saving of 2.6kg per corner.
my current setup and no complaint there , also ready for 235/40 next time i change themExciting. For your reference, an ex-owner with 225s on 8.5. He has a more aggressive 35 offset though, but you'll be able to see the tyre fit on the rims.
Well as many of you will have seen if you attended Japfest, I finally managed to get the new wheels fitted.
They were actually due a few days in advance of Japfest, as were the tyres, but some complications with delivery services meant I didn't receive them until Saturday morning. Queue a day of mad rushing around trying to get everything ready for the show, and me being 3 hours later than planned to the hotel bar!
But alas, we managed it just in time.
So as a reminder, the wheel specs are as follows:
Japan Racing SL01 (flow formed) wheels
18x8.5
ET35
Weighing just 8.2kg per wheel...
Hi Tony, it drives like a dream - really. The car is OEM like in smoothness, with far more pull once over 3,000 RPM. It's linear, with good pedal response and there are no glitches at all with the excellent Fensport tune. My Scangauge reports zero knock events and all four roughness indicators are also at zero. No problems with the clutch, either, and I am sensitive to wear as I had to replace it on my old BRZ soon after the Harrop supercharger went on.Hello Martin, how has the reliability of your car been (before and after mods). As you may know, mine it’s on its way from Japan…considering dailying it, all ok?
