GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

Car dropped off at the Detailers for its annual refresh in preparation for Sunday's across Scotland 'Drive It Day' Rally. When collecting it I had the chance to view this lovely bright yellow Ferrari F12 TDF that was in for Ceramic Coatings. That's well over a £Million right there! It made the dark green GT3RS next to it seem rather 'insignificant'.

Error of the day: Said 'No Thanks' to a lift back to the shop from my house in favour of getting the bus. Didn't know he'd picked up his bright red GT3RS - FFS, I could have been a "Fast, flash passenger" to quote a 70s movie ... 🤦‍♂️

Driving home; was reminded of a fellow forum member... as far as V4N17Y plates go, I think this would look better on your GR86...

Quiet afternoon session at Knockhill on Monday. Some interesting machines on track (see image 5 in the gallery for something mildly recognisable).

Have since driven to Fort William, Skye, and now Aberdeenshire; a NE250 run on Sunday; back to Knockhill on the 3rd, before a drive back to Sussex in two weeks. Talk about being used, magnificent weather this week to stretch the legs of the car

Up at 05:30 to get across to the Dakota Hotel (Motherwell) for Breakfast. Then a physical day of driving on some fantastic A/B roads enroute to Kelso, where we were served a sit-down lunch at Floors Castle, all as part of ‘Drive It Day Scotland’ 2026. Hopefully there will be some official photos at a later date, in spite of the camera car getting lost … twice!

Realised today that the door arm rest really isn't that comfortable on long journeys , and it seems like somewhere halfway down it goes from nice cushion to solid plastic under the surface. Typical that my elbow naturally sits on the join 😂. Anyone else find this?

Think I might get a pad cut to shape to put on top !

Yes I notice the same.

My elbow can rest on either the hard or soft but depending on how I hold the steering wheel.

Discovered that my passenger window switch doesn't work this weekend? I can't remember ever using it tbh. Door card off and everything looks okay. Didn't know what to do next so gave her a clean instead. View attachment 40873
Not to ask a dumb question, but have you checked to make sure you've not accidentally hit the window lock button on the drivers side?

Booked in to swap the CrossClimate 2 tyres over to the stock Pilot Sport 4 tyres seeing as we're (hopefully!) above 5 celcius for the foreseeable up here in Scotland. Was checking the tyres over and somehow never noticed this on the rear right before.

No idea when it would have been plugged (prior to purchase, first major service shortly after purchase or when I bought the all seasons that have been on since last January). I've never actually driven with a plugged tyre, reckon it will be fine going forward? With a tyre rotation this tyre will now be going on the front right and I'll probably keep them on til the temp drops later in the year.

I mean, if it was me and I now knew it was there, I’d always be thinking about it. So I’d be getting it changed (in a pair ideally).
