GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

Given that I live near the sea, with regular Seagull visits, my PPF extravagance is looking slightly prudent.
I have PPF too but I still wouldn't leave it any longer than necessary to remove the stuff, it is awful stuff and will mark the PPF too.

Yeah I have a bottle of spray in the car (with distilled water and ONR) and some paper towels. Microfibre may be better, but with the droppings loosened with spray, and the paper towels wetted, it comes of quite easily, and the PPF isn't easy to scratch like paint.

Got a foldable sunshade that fits perfectly and seems to have a solid build quality 😎

As work has been so damn busy the levels of CBA and tiredness have been high during weekdays and weekends have been mostly busy only now getting round to getting on top of stuff that needs attention.

Got a dent (at some point during our trip to N’ring and WEC Spa) which is down to the metal
Haven’t washed the car as I don’t want to introduce anything corrosive into the ‘scar’ it is quite small but below the small rear 3/4 window so might be a pain to get to..
Have asked the local Chips Away rep for a quote or at least find out if they can sort it..

Been struggling to get a service booked too.. Car had oil changed to 5W-30 at circa 8k miles (just as well) tried to book in for a service in Stratford Upon Avon, online booking rejected twice and they aren’t answering the phone.. Car is over 12k now

To top it all off, found a tiny chip in the windscreen this morning

On the bright side got some nice pics from the N’ring

Think of the fun times. War wounds are gonna happen. I look at them now as reminders of good times had 😎
Yours looks great 😍👍

Drove the GR86 to Ceres (Cupar) for their Highland Games (held since 1314 - and no that’s not quarter past one 😝). Met @chopper602 and family near the arena 👋🏻. Also the stall holder of ‘The Long Dog Candle Company’, turned out to be an ex-shipmate of mine from way back in the 90s (he was a young chef) - What a crazy world!
Oh yes, I also ate too much cake and, usually being a decaf only chap, am now buzzing from 2x full bean coffees 😬

I've been giving serious consideration to attempting the clutch pedal spring swap, but have decided to delay it until another day because it looks far too complicated for a numpty like me.

So, I nearly did something with the car, but then thought better of it. I'll probably think about it again tomorrow. I did clean the windscreen though.

Daughter came second (from 12) in the women's competition - wasn't in the GR though

Good spot on the ferry too! Always a win when you aren't in a 4x4 sandwich or by the stairs.

With photo now we are on the boat.View attachment 29158
Oh nice one. Maybe we should arrange a meet up.
PM me where you are planning to be this week.
We’ve just been at Wight Wheels show in Chale.

I had some bikes by the side of me. I had to ask the owner to make sure it doesn’t fall on my car. It was on a stand.
