I had similar issues with shifting. in my case the screws between trans mount and transmission got loose.

finally managed to change the wheel studs for longer ones. 3 wheels went just fine, but front left axle nut was completely seized. end result = thread was damaged and nut needed to be hacked out by brut force. new axle installed. now I am €800 lighter :):cry:
