GR86 No gel coat inside door ?

Noticed on a red car I was looking at when you open the door there is no gel coat on inside of frame. Is this normal dealer seemed to think so

What do you mean by Gel Coat? That’s what they put on GRP parts?

It's a bit odd but its normal, mine has this, my red GT86 didn't but I think it might be down to the tri coat paint on the GR86. There are 2 different tones of red applied before the clear coat, its like they have only done the base layer for the door shuts.

Same in the engine bay also. Just money saving unfortunately.
