GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

Took the car up to Cupar.
Had a busybody/nimby come across and tell me that I’d ‘gone the wrong way’ into a parking space in a car park that I’ve never been in before. I thanked her for the advice and countered that nobody died/had an accident, to which she replied “well you’re obviously not a local”.
I can now appreciate why some people randomly get punched in the face 😡

Fife, simple. 😁

Went for a nice country run and a Chinese lunch in Tattenhall. Very (very) nice Chinese so we will be repeating the trip many times I’m sure.

The wife asked if we could stop by Lidl for some Dog Food and Tesco for some Wine on the way back.

FFS.

Finally had some time to try out the previous gen facelift wheels with stock Primacy tires. It changed the car completely in every way. A bit dangerous in the wet and single digit temperature conditions, but I will see.

Took some extra time cleaning the studs with a wire brush and applying ACF-50 to prevent oxidation. The studs look better now than they looked a year ago when the car was brand new honestly.

And I also bought some extended nuts as the stock ones are just garbage. I know there is a discussion about Subaru studs being trash... I do agree to some extent, but you can prevent the damage and prolong the life by going easy on the studs, cleaning them and using some different nuts.

Have just fitted Whiteline KDT925 differential bushing inserts. Might do a dedicated thread in a bit, but so far, so good; cheap mod, easy and fairly quick to do, and it seems to have improved how the car feels when coming on off throttle.
I'd like that. Bushings like this are on my list too.

Full detail then put the cover on in preparation for the forthcoming frosts, hail and whatever else comes our way. It’ll be sparkling for when I next need it 🤩
