GR Yaris GR-Yaris Rally2

It’s not too far for me from Manchester, so I’m going to go and be nosey. Accidentally bought 2x parking tickets for SS2 and SS7 access though, so if anyone wants one, let me know 🤦‍♂️

Head out to Lancashire this weekend and take some videos for us here to enjoy 😁 🏁
If I wasn’t currently on an island miles off Scotland (in a borrowed S2000) then I definitely would!

😍

(It’s colder here than it looks!)

Nice, would have liked to go and spectate on this 1st round of the Champoinship.
They have a podcast for the event as well, as it's become the premier opener for the Brish championship.

Regards Russ..

I'm aiming to go out for Rali Ceredigion at the end of Summer, looked like a great event last year. Also by then the Melvyn Evans team should have two GR Yarises so will be good to see how Chris Ingram goes in his.

Yes I may go to this final round, not been out to an event for years, I will have to get some proper winter clothing for this.
I'm even thinking of re joining Stockport MC,

It has been quite an interesting weekend for GRY Rally2.
It won Rally Piedmont, valid for the Italian Rally Championship (after being 2nd on the first Rally of the championship), and it dominated the Hungary Rally at its debut in the ERC (1st and 2nd), until the two GRYs incurred in two unlucky incidents that took both of them off the Rally when victory was just one stage away.
But the performance it's there, and for a car at its debut it's really a very good start, facing competition from much established long-time winners like Skoda Fabia.
And btw, in Australia GRY AP4 won Otago Rally, against celebrated drivers like Meeke and Semenuk.
Our car wins championships, the supporters of other brands and cars speak bla bla... 😉

Poor Mikko, same bad luck as last year, but keeping on with this speed, it's just a matter of when, not if, for his first maiden victory in ERC.
Good for Toyota to get some mechanical issues so they know where to improve the car. Thought initially from drivers comments that gr yaris rally2 has been quite robust

Sure! About Mikko it could be a wheel or a suspension failure (or both), it looks like it needs to be investigated further.
In the case of Martin, it should be just the consequence of hitting a pole that ripped off the rear left wheel from the suspension.

Shame that Martin (Sechs) said that he found the right setup of the car on the previous stage, and judging by the time he scored in that same stage, it could have been even more huge dominance by the GRYs.

According Mikko the wheel was destroyed first and loosing the wheel then destroyed the suspension so maybe it was wheel then after all.
