GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

I have to say I am not a fan of the new front look and still undecided on the dash, having said that I did get a price of 32k on WBAC just encase I decide to move the current one on before prices drop!
 
I wonder if the ic spray will find its way to the U.K.
Looks to be great improvements over the old model.
Guess ours just lost 10k 😂

Yes I do and it’ll be a very satisfying feeling when it’s done I always had it as the main goal since buying. So there is definitely some of that and sentiment (first proper car) attached to it as well. Not sure I want to jump back into the world of financial commitments etc do you’re right, that’s a counter.
 
I'd be surprised if they sell as many given how people's finances have been stretched and the finance offers will probably be nowhere near as good, I'd be happy to be proved wrong if it means Toyota stretches making cars like this longer than people thought possible

So the dashboard is a total loss. This looks like someone putting together an interior on Aliexpress🤣🤣🤣.

Stiffer Body etc. I've already done everything, that doesn't attract me.
I also have a lot more power.
But what I really like is the new front and I hope it's replaceable. I don't want the rear light, it looks like VW and everyone else. Everyone has it now.

It's nice that there's something new, they should continue like the Evos. I'll leave this model out :).
 
The new front suspension geometry and more chasis rigidity is phenomenal and with those alone, it’s well worth an upgrade if racing or serious track or rally user.

It is without a doubt a better and more efective car…but they f*ck up big time with that interior. It’s ugly, not well thought visually speaking -not thought at all- and above all is something you have to look at every time you‘re driving it.

I actually love the dash. Function over form vibe. It appears this version will be super limited in numbers I think, Just spoke to an online chat at a dealership here and have told me its not coming to Estonia (although I will pop in to a physical dealership to confirm and pop an email to Toyota Estonia).

On a plus note I have just got an update from the MyT app to tell me my MK1 has just left the factory in Japan 😂

Update from the other dealership in Estonia:


"Thank you for your letter.

Yes, this New Toyota GR Yaris is coming to our market. But at the moment there is no additional information about prices and when its arriving to us."
 
Just spoke with the dealer that supplied my Mk1, they're stil getting up to speed but they think it'll be like the new Land Cruiser where you can secure a build slot early and get in the queue as soon as the order book opens

Waiting to hear back from them later today.
 
Just spoken with my local dealer to register interest and was told it will be online orders only through the Toyota website, as with the GR86.

Don't like the dash any more, but would live with it for improved ergonomics and everything else that comes with it.
 
Yes the dash does look a bit Fischer-Price but…
