GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

Fitted new Evo Corse Montecorse wheels, Tom's wing and vent's then did a little photo shoot with my friend.

Both iconic wheels work really well on the GR especially in white.

Very pleased!

Speaking of warranty, I read that removing the roof carbon sticker void the corrosion warranty. Anyone had issues with that?
at least it removes 0.5kg of unnecessary ballast from the roof. though wonder how much topcoat is needed to protect the sensitive carbon roof?
Might be fun project?

Sorry about the angles  Had it done at a body shop (Ace refinishing and hydrographics), strip, clean, flat, gel coat, flat and top coat - was about £450 but did a couple of other bits at the same time so not 100% on the price.

Ive had mine removed because the detailer f'ed up the foil/plastic when applying the ceramic coating to the car. Had the detailer explain this to Toyota Norway and they confirmed that removing it would not void any warranty. So I gave them the go-a-head and they coated the carbon roof together with the rest of the car. Dont know how fragile the carbon roof is to be honest. Should be able to withstand normal weather/sun etc.

Oh, goo to know! I don't know how much UV the coating can block, but the carbon normally needs clear coat.

Want to do it for the look of the forged carbon.
My idea is to remove the adhesive, sand it a little bit, and clear coat with many layers so it can be sanded to a nice finish.
From what I have seen, the finish of the carbon far from good.

Yeah, I reckon that’s the reason for the cheesy wrap.

Toyota saw the quality of the carbon they were getting for the budget they allocated and decided to throw a sticker over it rather than go to the expense of getting a higher quality finish on the carbon itself.

I’ve seen a few with naked carbon and they look great, but yes they need to be built up and then brought down to a smooth finish first.
