GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

Got my car colour matching MoonSwatch today - well a £17 homage from AliExpress anyway, why pay more for a plastic watch? 🙄

We've got a few AliExpress knockoff's of the Swatch knock off of an Omega too - Neptune, Moon, Jupiter and Mercury. The OH got a real Uranus in Dusseldork in the summer and is far lighter and a better quality than the AliExpress ones. The strap on the real one is much better for instance.

My Moon and Neptune are my everyday watches these days (y)

Today is a trip across Paisley where the BlackVue DR900X-2Ch Plus Dash Cams are being hardwired in, along with a full Tracker install. Hope I can escape back East before the St.Mirran home game crowds start to build 😦

Four Goodyear Vectors chucked on this morning out of National Tyres, and four PS4's chucked in the back. Ample space for more, probably. The TPMS is playing up but I'll sort it at some point, car is desparately in need of a good wash.

The Goodyears do feel quieter than the stock PS4s if only slightly.

Took it in for first service. Not that I would want them to wash it but supposedly theyve been told not to wash GR86s or Supras....
Hehe, my car had its first service yesterday. When I brought the car I clearly stated that they should not wash it and in addition I also placed this card inside the car which says "please do not wash the car" :D

I was waiting for an unfortunate punchline to this post along the lines of "they washed it with a pan scourer anyway, the twats", but was heartened to see this wasn't the case (I assume they didn't wash it...).

I am part responsible. After telling them to not wash it and then finding out they did, I have now resorted to leaving no less than 3 big pieces of paper (dash, seat, back seat) with "do not wash please" in capitals every time I have taken it in.

Took mine to main dealer for service, they had it for 2 days and when I finally got it home I noticed this the next morning 🤬. Oil pissing out of what I assume/hope is the sump plug, what a joke.
Thats appalling. I would expect a full refund for the service at the very least.

I am blown away at how bad Toyota is across the board.

I took my car in on Thursday for its intermediate service and to re-fit the rear parking sensors that were installed incorrectly in the summer (they're not sitting flush with the bumper).

No issues with the service, but when I came back to pick the car up after they've had it all day, they told me that it will need to come back for the parking sensors to be re-fitted, as they'll need to take the rear bumper off, maybe re-drill some of the holes.

Anyway, I took the car home, and what do you know. Instead of refitting the parking sensors, they managed to chip the paint on one of them...

Was this because the sensors were sitting a little proud of the bumper? Mine were the same, but it's precisely because I don't really want them touching it again that I'll just live with it.

Appalling. Think I'd be insisting that they trailer the car back to rectify it, given how susceptible these cars are to oil problems.

Yet they charge £150 p/hr labour as standard! I’ll be using a JDM independent specialist for yrs 1-3 and may, just may, return to OEM purely for the extended warranty. A sad state of affairs from the dealerships fer sure 🤬
