Which dealer did you use to collect your GR86? Do all of them offer 10 years service plan and offer accessories fitting like rear sensors, spoiler?

Could you change the dealer once you confirm your order?

I am thinking about Guildford, Bracknell or Reading. Did any one used them before? Did you have a good experience?
Thanks,

I'm not down your way but my experience is this:

1. I asked about a service contract from the dealer upon collection and he mentioned three years and I said that there is a ten year one that I'd like and he was able to do this without issue. They also fitted the mud flaps that I had ordered with the car.

2. I changed dealer by ringing Toyota online., the reason being I though it best to use my nearest GR centre rather than a standard Toyota dealer.

How do you know if it is a GR centre?

I used Reading for the collection as it was handy well 30 min walk from the train station , I think you have 3 months to decide about the service plan so can not comment on this however was given the written quote for the 3 year plan. Did not ask for any accessories.
I was pleased with the service nothing special really car was outside the main entrance , half tank of petrol & warning triangle kit in the boot. The sales manager did the handover & subsequently followed up with an e mail to check every thing was all ok with the car a few days later . All in all very happy . Parking is tight though , collect it as soon as possible if you were choosing Reading.

I collected from Guildford, which I think is a GR centre. I got the red sheet handover treatment, which was a fun bit of theatre. They were proactive in asking me whether or not I wanted the car washed or not touched. I asked them not to wash it and they left it untouched with all the plastic etc still on. Safety kit in the boot, locking nuts installed and nut key in the glovebox with the CoC.

Very happy with the service 👍

I collected from Guildford which is a GR centre.

I got the safety kit, plus coffee beaker, mints and Toyota key fobs with key code tag, plus GR86 A4 poster

At first did not know that they needed to look at Toyota Compass system for delivery updates.

Were not able to program remote windows down or unlock all doors, but did disable engine sound generator.

Subsequently advised they could program after consulting with senior technician.

Generally helpful and fitted in with 1/9 collection.

Do you need to ask for the safety kit, key fobs with key code tag, and the A4 poster? what is the toyota compass system? so the engine sound generator could only be disable by the dealer? Did they program remote windows down or unlock all doors in the end? was it before your collection date? Did they fit any accessories for you like parking sensor or mudflap etc.? Thanks.

Only thing I can say, that I do not recommend handover at Basingstoke. They made a complete mess out of it and also the aftersales part of it too.

I didn't ask for the items. They should know now that information on direct sale cars are not on their normal system, I believe Compass is a system used to log and communicate between centres and Toyota. The sound generator disable is not a user option. I got the programming done elsewhere, although they offered to do while I waited. No accessories ordered. Also comes with front and rear mats and brief user guide.

Are the front and rear mats have the GR logo on them?

Not on your list but in the area, I used Sandhurst and would not recommend.
Struggled with any communication and were not helpful when asked about the accessories like spoiler and parking sensors.
I played ping pong between the dealership and TOL as to who was holding things up most days!

Yes, I nearly chosen sandhurst as it is the closest one but I was thinking they probably dont know much about the GR cars.
How you getting on with yours?
Did you get the spoiler and parking sensors in the end ?

Had/having the same experience with the Guildford sales team. 🤞 their GR knowledge is concentrated within the service team.

I drive past most days so it was the convenience for me!

I’m loving the car tbh, very hard to fault it 😊

I decided against the sensors in the end as the camera is pretty decent. I’m probably going aftermarket on the spoiler in the next month!

Which aftermarket spoiler you are after?
Thanks.
