Yup, I prefer it as well and it was what I expected to be delivered. I'm not disappointed with it, it's still a very nice white... Just not as I'd expected.

In certain lights they look very similar.

That was white because I'd seen at GT86 in Pearl White before and loved it. Plus Japanese racing colours! ;-p

The Subaru white (86) and Toyota white (Yaris) are not the same but they both look great in the full sun, on a cloudy day, or inside under the lights.

I’d liken it to a Pearl version of Honda championship white. It’s a warmer tone rather than a brilliant crisp white. It doesn’t look “cream” to my eyes like the old English white on a mini but parked next to a GRY it’s a noticeable difference in shade. I’m very happy with the white and the Pearl really does come alive in the sun.

I do hope they sell out.... For purely selfish reasons i.e. I've got one due and nobody else can order a new one...
 
I wish they’d sell out and stop mailing me already. I’m only just about over my last bout of “cancellers regret”!!

If they don't sell out, do you think:
a) They just won't send as many to the UK, they'll start supplying mainland Europe (as we've taken some of their orders)
or
b) The dealers will get them, and then put them up for sale?

If it's a) then it won't really matter whether they sold the lot or not, because you won't be able to buy them next year regardless.
 
I got the email also and now I'm gonna go for it this time for a number of reasons. Rareness of the car and the fact you won't be able to buy new beyond the end of this year. Also the values of GT86's are still pretty strong which can only mean that the GR86 will hold it's value as well. My GT86 that I sold last year, a 67 REG, are still being sold for roughly the same price as last year. Also the fact that I owned 2 GT86's from new for 10 years and they were great cars.

If they did offer them to dealers they’d sell like hot cakes I’d expect…

That way the whole allocation is gone which is surely good news for everybody

Not everybody will be aware that they have a chance to buy and (even at £33k) once somebody who was interested sees one with a for sale sticker they’ll jump straight in IMHO
