Handover was easy, straightforward and we removed the transportation protective film there so we could inspect it before completing the handover and to avoid any surprises at the detailer or have the detailers being blamed for anything that happened during shipment etc

Congratulations, glad you have it at last, good choice of colour 😉
That photo brought back some memories, although it’s not quite the same without the residue of melted snow on it!

I noticed that the last 3 characters of your reg are similar to your username. Did they give you a choice of reg?

I also own a 2003 WRX STi and a 1997 Mk2 MR2, so I'm hoping the GR is a nice blend of my two favourite cars.

Mine is also on the same boat. I am just happy it didn't burn down with EV's onboard!

Mine will going next to my 1995 Toyota Celica GT-Four. Both red too :D

Particularly with 4 wheel drive cars, where you can get the power down early out of corners and just laugh at the ridiculousness of it all. If however, you're after the feeling of control through and out of corners, with a bit of sideways action if you want it - as well as a lovely looking sportscar - then this fits the bill.

Of course there are some who find it's not for them, and sell-up. No car is the perfect choice for everyone.

True, that's what multiple car ownership is for, if you have the space, time and funds. I am driving a 2009 250bhp Saab 93 Aero Manual 2.0t for now, fun for near zero cash... Along with a breathed on XC70 for a bit of dog running, skip loading beach fun. Churn and repeat...

Sounds like you're having the same thoughts as me. The car I tested had them, but some people are suggesting the new batch doesn't have them?

Does anyone know if any of the recent MT cars delivered in the UK have been confirmed to not have the blind-spot detection/rear-cross monitoring?

Mine had been confirmed as having them (I looked it up, but wanted confirmation) - mine's in the UK, but not with me yet so wouldn't be able to guarantee. However, if you get the VIN from TOL - you can then look up the exact spec of your car (including BSM & RCTA) through this: https://www.toyota-tech.eu/Menu/Repair - it's then under 'vehicle specifications' - you'll have to register, but it's both free and legit

Cheers, it'll be interesting to know how everyone's turn out. I've been told it could be as late as November for mine, so who knows how things will change.
