I’ve only driven a few miles but the car reminds me of my GT3 that I had. Blue oil light … same. Hard ride .. same Keen to be pushed …. same. Challenging to get in and out of !!!!! … same

Price …. Not the same !

Get an AWE Touring exhaust on the 86, In some ways I enjoy it more than the 718 Spyder with Cargraphic x-pipe I had last year...
Why?

It does sound raw in mostly a good way and definitely has character

It has more character, no drone, and there is some tasteful crackling if you blip the throttle on downshifts. Also the car itself is noticeable lighter which I usually find more fun than lots of horsepower.

The logic is flawed indeed ;)

On a more serious note, the original GT86 design was benchmarked on the Cayman. The low centre of gravity, driver postion and even hood height and view out are very similar. With later turbocharged versions of the Cayman, it even shares the flat four. But it indeed doesn't have the almost even weight distribution of the FR transaxle Porsches.

But in the end it's a, now rare, pure sportscar, in similar spirit to those 4-cyl porsches.
