So, in layman’s terms, can someone explain how these work? and where are the actual sensors located.
Never had a car with tpms fitted before, so just interested to know exactly how they work.
Many thanks.

They're devices that sit on the inside side of the tyre valve, which monitor pressure continuously and send a signal to the car wirelessly. When changing tyres I think they usually carry over the valve/TPMS assembly (in the past you always used to get new valves, but now think they'll only do if there's a warning).

Many thanks, that’s very helpful.
have just bought a set of wheels off a GR86, as the owner has decided to changed wheels.
I am going to be taking them into get a colour change, so the tyres will be comming off. So, I presumme they will just take the existing vales out, and re-fit them once painted (powder coated).
Going for a shadow chrome 👍

Shadow Chrome is a good choice, I had a set of MR2 alloys done in that colour a few years ago at Lepsons. One thing to be aware of is they never look clean and this started to annoy me a little, so I had them redone in silver.
