Possibly, check with Paul, he sorted me outUnless the master tech was in 2 weeks ago? Though I really don’t understand why it would need a master tech, presumably they just plug a laptop in the OBD port and enable the DCM module.

I was booked in for it a couple of months ago. They phoned me the evening before it was booked in and said "no need to bother, turns out it was done before delivery." I said "ok cool!", but my car still shows as having an outstanding recall against it. I think someone might have confused the ECU brake recall thing (which we think was responsible for the cars being delayed before delivery) and this recall for the SOS module thing. When I chase them for an update on the damage mine is having rectified, I might ask them to double check.Has anyone had issues with getting their dealer to do the recall? I was first informed my car didn't need it, then that they will get back to me to check (when I challenged them on showing as active on the GOV website), and when I chased it up again a couple of weeks, I was told they are unable to carry it out at the moment, without specifying the reason.
Is this just part of the Toyota ownership experience that I wasn't aware of?
After you, sir!Anyone pushed the button?!
I haven’t got round to getting mine done yet, best guess is there might be another update or recall pending so possibly want to lump them togetherHad the letter a while back, also the showing recall on gov website.
I attempted to get booked this week with the online team to get it sorted. They insisted that it was not necessary, and that the system shows that it is not needed.
I was pretty pushy asking for some proof or the dealer to stamp my maintenance book but received generic replies avoiding my direct requests
Pretty poorly handled, If i ever resold i'm just supposed to say "dont worry about it, they told me its fine"?
Still have no idea what it actually does.Anyone pushed the button?!
Wouldn't hold your breath.Interesting..........
I wonder if the MOT site will stop telling me I have recall at some point ....![]()
GR Corolla / Yaris video from Hagerty (someone posted it in videos if you want to have a look) goes over this. The Corolla apparently starts the call automatically when doing emergency brake. It actually calls Toyota rep first who asks you if you require emergency services.Still have no idea what it actually does.
Is it literally for 999 emergencies or breakdowns too?
I have had to stamp on the anchors pretty hard at least once (hazards came on), and it didn't call anyone. So either it's setup differently in the 86, or it just doesn't work and the recall is indeed needed to fix itGR Corolla / Yaris video from Hagerty (someone posted it in videos if you want to have a look) goes over this. Sorry, what I meant is use the "e brake" as americans call it, not the emergency stop manoeuvre.I have had to stamp on the anchors pretty hard at least once (hazards came on), and it didn't call anyone. The emergency 'SOS' button?Seems like the correct thread to ask as it looks like it could be recall related (?) - on my drive home after collecting the GR86 this afternoon, I managed to call 999 twice but not sure how. First time I had just answered a call from my partner, it put him on hold and dialled 999 instead. Second time I turned into my road and it started a call to 999.
Anyone having this problem? Is there a button I'm accidentally pressing? I had Android Auto plugged in and running, I don't believe the problem was anything being pressed on my phone though.
Definitely didn't press the SOS button - I didn't even know it existed! How bizarre, think I'll just keep an eye on it and call the dealership if it happens many more timesThe emergency 'SOS' button?
Having said that, last time I drove my car it dialled my own number somehow and I can't explain this either. Happened twice to me.
