Hey everyone. For those of you who migrated over from the other place you may remember we come up with some titanium brake caliper shims after I melted my seals. Well my track day buddies have asked me to make some for the Clios out there and there may be an opportunity to run a few more GR ones in conjunction.

Hello Dean, I’d definitely like some rear shims to go with the fronts that Iv already fitted if you make them again 🤞

For those with fronts already who want rears I will prioritise them on the Clio batch so any loss is absorbed by them as if you remember I did them as basically a loss leader to help me not end up with unused fronts.

Hi Dean,
if you're willing to ship (or get them shipped) to Germany I'd be interested in Front & Rear shims.
 
Interested in two sets, front and rears. Looking at brake temps on track yesterday I think we're gonna need these in Summer 👍

Yes last time they went to Japan, Aus, NZ, Germany, Switzerland, Mexico, Sweden all no bother

They make a big difference. Seeing at least 40 degree out and my GR logo is still white and not brown!

Certainly seems like we have the interest here.

The mill doesn't provide 0.75mm so that answers that. Remember other sources are 0.5/0.6mm. that's not going to cut it.

My bro is going to sweet talk the supplier. News as I have it boys and girls.
 
Well I'm surprised. Not sure what my brother did or said but the supplier has agreed to sell him a sheet for only 3% more than last time. The only caveat is he won't do a stock sheet as he can sell that for a big premium so it's a 3 week wait to come from the mill direct.

I'm pretty confident I'd be able to do it exactly the same as before if I some what limit the rears again.

1mm, certified grade 5 Ti6Al4V (I will be able to show you the material certificate from the sheet test).

200 for both, 150 for front. Special delivery, small surcharge for international delivery (that screwed me last time), boxed with some ceratec for a decent install.

My bro would have to do the CAD sheet layout but I'm thinking about 38/39 front and 20 rear max.

Same logic as last time, we make a list, if we get enough to cover the sheet I'll pull the trigger. When it's in my possession (well the laser cuters) you give me your email address on pm and I'll start invoicing.

Goes without saying don't go on the list if you won't commit as i have to stump up over 3k at my risk and I'm not a business.
