GR86 First sketchy moment

Just got back from a cracking morning drive. Pleased to report that the skittishness I felt the car had a month ago has gone. Heavy rain over night and the roads are sodden, but even so, and even when driving in track mode, the car felt planted and secure unless provoked. Must have been the greasiness and salt on the roads which has been washed away after a wet few weeks. Confidence restored :)

This reflects my experiences too.

Well apart from the early morning drive part. I'm still in bed arguing about who's going to get the kettle on.

I echo this and probably even more so given the geo tweaks done (front negative camber, rear toe in).
Modern tyres are excellent in crap conditions once warm and the car inspires confidence in the wet but you can also tit about on command. Perfect.

This is what I said a few posts back... tyres need scrubbing in, thats all it is. And you've gotta you remember, most of the people here including yourself babied the car for first 1k, tyres probably didn't wear in straight away.

I'm at 2400 miles now and it feels extremely planted still, very rarely does it ever seem to let go of traction. I drive hard, really hard to be fair. And never had an issue...

I was well over a thousand miles when I had the drive where the car felt skittish. And I'd had drives before then, in technically worse conditions, where it had felt absolutely fine. My money is still on the amount of salt and stuff on the roads at the time.
