GR86 Dashcams

Anyone using a wireless dashcam? I will only drive my car once a week so worry about having a wired in dashcam as heard they can drain the battery.

A better option seems to be one I can charge at home but just plug in when I can drive.

Any recommendations?

Got an old unused smart phone in a drawer? Re-purpose it with an app, there are paid and free dashcam apps that might be worth a try. The footage quality will be dependent on the age of the camera tech obviously and night time footage may be poor. However, if you have a more recent phone with a better camera maybe try it on that too and then re-purpose the old phone as a sat nav/music source?

Have it wired in to an ignition switched supply - no drain when parked.
