GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

I've been thinking about getting it, is it easy to fit?
Yep, you replace two of the interior trim clips with a clip and threaded stud, screw the net hook on to the stud and job done! Happy to post better photos/steps if people would find it useful :)

I ordered it yesterday midday from my local Toyota garage for £37 and it arrived this morning, can't fault it.

I thought the back seats were for anything like that, nicely shaped for holding a bag of shopping!

Ceramic/detail next week so i needed to get a move on with the extra bits.
Fitted the ducktail using the no drill method, and have the rear diffuser to get to tomorrow.

Wish i could debadge but there are two little holes behind there

Booked in for an oil change since it's in for the recall anyway, want some options changing and the creaking of the drivers side air vent. The cost I've been quoted is reasonable since I'm supplying the parts. We'll see if that's what I actually pay when the time comes.

When you decide to go out for a blast and get 33.5 mpg you know you got out of bed too late! 😫

Still, another 58.7 miles down.

2 realisations this morning... On cold tyres, slightly damp roads, this car will go sideways WAY more easily than anything else I've ever owned (most comparable cars being 3.0 Z4, S2000, 330i, Cayman). It definitely reprogrammes your brain a bit, in a good way!

2nd... It's way too quiet. Hoping that above 4k it starts to wake up but right now, an exhaust is definitely on the shopping list.

Took it to local trusted alignment place to get it finessed and to add some front camber. Took a bit of fiddling to achieve 1 degree with eibach camber bolts. The rear is pretty even left to right thankfully.

Today I fitted my phat modz innit bruv

From AliExpress, there's a link in the bargains thread that's kicking about that I can't be bothered to look for and post here cos I'm about to have my lunch. You are all sufficiently clever people to be able to find it.

They're so cheap you can get loads of them and replace if miscreant youths take them for their bikes which me and my mates definitely didn't used to do when we were young with the one posh car on our estate (don't get excited it was a Porsche 924).

Love the red mats and boot mat! Have you a link pretty please? 🙏🏻
I admit I had to close my eyes when the $ total was displayed in the checkout cart.

Had a slightly scary 'sideways' moment today on a tight roundabout with a sharp-ish left turn on a b-road that required a quick successive left-right-left turn of steering. The car suddenly lost rear control.. even if for a second. lucky the car didn't hit the curb. I was well within the legal limit.
All the confidence-inspiring drives over past few winter weeks went into question all of a sudden :D

Great pictures, the car looks stunning in Magnetite Grey!
Actually looks better in flesh.. I am a lousy (and lazy) photographer. Yet to see other colors, but even when I do, I doubt I'd choose any other color over it.. esp after the ceramic coating. Ofcourse color choice is personal to everyone.
Just need to spice up the interior a bit now with some contrasting dash of red starting with the Billetworkz gear knob. Red brake callipers would be awesome at some point.

Well, it was yesterday, but I did a 385 mile trip to a couple of sites in Sutton Coldfield and Corby and then back home. It was a long day. Now my car is reading 2000+ miles after having it nearly a month. 😬

It doesn't always go like that, although looking at my diary, I'm pretty sure that I'll end up doing another 500-800 miles next week, depending upon whether I stay away, or not? 🤔
