GR86 Fake engine noise - I can't even hear that!

Is there a minimum speed / rev limit at which the fake engine noise kicks in? Have mostly done city driving so far, but can't hear the fake engine noise at all.. for good or worse. Wonder if it came switched off on my car.

I think it only comes in after 4K rpm.

I did cross 4k revs few times today, though marginally, driving upto 60 mph on b-roads.. still couldn't hear much. Of whatever I could hear.. nothing sounded fake to me. Beyond that is essentially the dual carriage way speed, and I don't believe this car is meant to be enjoyed on dual carriage ways.
