GR86 GR86- Cars for sale - General Discussion

Nope. Mine was black and went on Saturday.

Only advertised mine on eBay and here. So it’s a new one in the wild.

Still no regrets on keeping the Supra? Purely from the looks I would have the Supra too.

Would love to try both though to see how they differ to drive.

Hilarious video posted today by Listers :

I love the bit towards the end where he says “the affordable sports car is truely hard to come by”… especially at Listers

Is the "all-new" GR86 "all-new" then? I didn't quite catch that!

I've test driven this very same car , but I did neglect to mention the "powerful rear wings" in my reportage so I'm very sorry about that.

Nope, no regrets.
It was nice to have a final drive in the GR, but the weather made it much more of a task then it should have been. There were far too many squeaky bum moments considering I only had to drive it an hour to deliver it. Standing water + Range Rovers + Old school country walls :cautious:

For me the Supra meets my needs and, although not quite as rare as the 86, the Supra still isn't a common sight.

It was also nice to sell it on to someone that already had a GR Yaris so gets the 'GR thing'.

It's an interesting market at the moment with the 86 prices being over list and the Supra prices starting to come down, especially on the first years.

There's a 2 litre Supra on motor point on a 72 plate for £40k, and I've seen multiple examples of the 3litre a few years old going for between 40 and 45k. So at the moment, if you ignore the tax premium, they are a fairly comparable car, at least price wise depending on the old vs new debate.

Yes it is an interesting market. If they get closer in value as you state then it would make me seriously consider swapping in for a Supra. But that’s purely from the look of the car, I haven’t driven either at the minute.

The only issue is that I really want a manual and I am not sure if the manual Supra will hold its money well. Maybe I’ll enjoy the GR86 for a couple of years and see what the prices are doing then.

Have we had this one yet? (one of 700 apparently :ROFLMAO:) Antrim, or is it a re-list?

Provisionally sold via AT apparently, not been on there long.

There seams to be a steady flow of cars appearing on AT and not hanging around too long at £35/36k 🤔 Looks like quite a few flippers got their hands on some 🤷‍♂️

Or fallen out of love, due to the 5hitfest that has been TUK on line.

Or simple economic needs.

Or done the maths and gone £30k plus £5k premium = £35k

On the 2nd hand market, prices have softened across the board, due I suspect to fuel cost, recession, interest rates, tighter pockets.

So £35k buys you what £40k bought you 12 months back. Hitting 718, M2 and quite a lot of choice in the 2 year old / sub 24k miles market.

Third one on now. Ex demo at a dealer for 39999 if anyone wants.

"This demonstrater vehicle will be available in the coming months".
