GR86 The GR86 “The Orders / Owners List / GR86 Register”

welcome and congratulations, the party has only just got going so you are in no way late , added you to the Orders / Owners list at #205. 👍✅😎
Thanks Andy, will keep you all informed where us later orderers are at in the process as I find out. Might be time for a phone call to TUK again!!

Left them all on. Guess they will for them all going forward. Can confirm head unit difference between demo. Does have dimples but that's fine as I'll JDM plate eventually. Only grief was the dealer has to go round taking photos which seems to be another new process for them. Apart from that all good. 10 miles on clock, bamboo box but no issho or key tags.

Congratulations, definitely worth the wait.

TBH you are better keeping track of what time orders were placed and when they are going into build. Online just kept saying “sometime in 2023“ , my car is now built on a boat and due to land Jan 🤷‍♂️

Car collected this morning, no goodies at all in the car apart from the dealer key tag they left on!

Been a long day. Wraps are off, snowfoamed and washed down, etc. Only managed to seal the wheels with Fusso for now. The body you can still see the marks where the film was, or more accurately the contrast to the exposed bits. It's fixable but I aborted my initial plans. I'll get a detailer to do a first stage correction and ceramic. He can use mine or I'll go to Pyramid in Worcester and they can do it.

The wing is also on. Was concerned and thought I'd messed it up at one point but it's sorted now. Remember what Conscript said about the wind flexing and that's there are bigger holes.

Only driven it home, saw Dad then to get fuel and have a little play. I need way more time to go through things than I'm too tired for now but it's mega as we all know. the vRS was autopilot, this is the complete opposite. A car that trains it's driver

It would be nice to see a picture?

Sounds like you had a great day. A car genuinely worth waiting for. Would be great to see a picture when convenient.

Everyone who owns - or who had ever owned - a car since cars existed: Fuel station lights are really unforgiving and make my car's paintwork look bad.

@KobayashiMaru86 : Pah, amateurs

Honestly mate, that looks absolutely stunning.
Thanks. It isn't perfect, or at least I'm worrying too much. The paint is soft (Knew this when I got the spoiler) so while I did snowfoam and de-grease once films were off, I wasn't totally happy so aborted my plans. I'll book in with a detailer in the new year for a full correction and ceramic, hopefully they'll use the ceramic I already have. Being new it shouldn't need much. Have sealed the wheels with Fusso coat and I can already see they'll be a nightmare to keep clean, being like a satin finish.

I think you've earned a restful Sunday!

Glass of port, some good cheese, and a Christmas film perhaps.

A "Christmas film"? A whole week ahead of the wretched day? And this from the Fox who moans about festive songs on the radio in November!

Damn it man, confine your jollity to a quarter of an hour on Christmas morning.

Allow the good lady wife to remind you the names of your children, give each an improving book (boys) or instructional doll (girls), and then repair to your Club to pass the day in merciful silence. Wake occasionally to acknowledge the entrance of a school chum or fellow veteran; feign unconsciousness (or continue the crossword) when greeted by a cabinet minister. Retire home only when you can be sure the family are already upstairs, prepare your apology for Her as you reheat your supper, and take quiet satisfaction that it will be a full year before you are forced to repeat this performance again.

A fair point fellow Zoo Company member @drz252 ; and robustly quantified in your accompanying text.

Forgive my absent mindedness, but by Christmas film I did of course mean the only Christmas film worth watching.
