GR86 GR86 Delivery Tracking and Collection thread

Rang Toyota to see if they have an update, as I have been umming and ahhing over justifying an MOT repair of £1k+

MyT shows processing but they advised that the car has gone into build!! He suggested the app may not update until a VIN number has been allocated.

Just spoke to TUK - no certainty around first batch this week, they are going to try and find out but doesn't seem like they know as all done by a third party.
 
I just had the following line from TUK -

There has been an issue with the vehicle transportation and unfortunately your vehicle will not be delivered this week as previously advised.

However, we do estimate that your new GR86 should arrive with the centre within the next 2 weeks

Wouldn't be the GR86 ordering process without a final kick in the the teeth, would it?
TUK have handed over responsibility for delivery to an even less efficient party.
 
With delays, trying to decide if my car did arrive and if the dealer is open on Christmas Eve whether I would still pick up or wait to it to be a 2023 car in January.....
 
Christmas Morning = empty roads. I'd take being able to experience that in my new car over waiting a few more days.
 
FFS... I have to have a car by Christmas Eve. But wouldn't be Toyota with yet another delay. I appreciate some things are out of their control but it's staggering how many issues there have been.
 
I'm kind of hoping for delivery between Christmas and new year now, been saving holiday for the delivery or those days, why not make it both :giggle:
 
It's like a comedy of errors... only not funny.
I'm kinda glad I'm at the back of the queue - at least I know I'm not getting mine anytime soon.
 
Id really like to be able to get mine by 17th, i have 2 weeks off over Christmas so I can spend a day or two with the polish/wax :)
Still deciding what to do ref PPF, thinking side skirts as they look vulnerable to people getting in/out of the car.
 
Mine has arrived at my dealer as of yesterday, and should be ready for collection by Saturday. Am told by TUK it's the first one to be delivered in the country! Unfortunately my 'temporary' fun car has now become my permanent fun car and I'll now be looking to sell the 86 lol...

Well that sucks, I'm guessing you didn't order first either. Congrats TUK.
 
I've just recieved the request for pay for my car.
Hopefully it turns up at the dealers tomorrow and me and my brother can get both cars at the same time. I hightly doubt it though.
