They'll over heat a fair bit I would say. But it could be a huge amount of fun. Never liked winter tyres for their lack of precision. But YMMV of course. I'm just running my road tyres. Looks like it will be dry and around 5-6C which is just fine for regular road tyres. Some will run semi slicks and they'll probably be alright when you get some temperature in them.
 
I am taking a set of AR1s and P4S road tyres on the basis that sods law states if you drive 280 miles to a track day with only 4 tyres one of them will be damaged on route thus wasting the entire (entyre) day. Plus if its dry the AR1s will be used for what they were bought for.
 
I think you’ll be fine with AR1s.the morning could be a bit slippery due too forecast of fog. However there is a slight breeze forecast also so definitely after lunch. However the dry line depends on a few factors, lack of sun or low car numbers on track can be the biggest things if it’s not raining!!
I’m looking forward to this after a spate of wet days at Oulton.

Thoroughly recommend the Fox & Barrel in Cotebrook near Tarporley for anyone looking for a good feed, it's a personal fave of mine.
 
Is there fuel on site? 98/99 that is... It's my first Oulton visit

There’s a Shell close to circuit the road to it is usually quite busy. i tried to fill up at my local

The road can be quite busy during the day so I generally head over just before the lunch break. Pesto pub is also a good shout for lunch if you don’t fancy the canteen onsite.
 
If anybody picks this up, I'm on route but the m62 is being particularly shit this morning. I'm 1 hour into a 1hr 20 minute journey and the sat nav says I've got an 1 hr 20 mind to go 🫣
