I'm not sure about the whole grill on a grill thing, and their promotion images are frankly awful. The silver image is just the black image where they've jacked up the contrast/brightness
I don't think it's supposed to be the silver one (I can't select it), just a higher exposure pic so one can actually see the product...

As for grill on grill, I kinda agree, if I ever when I break my grill, I'll probably just dremel out all the plastic mesh and put this one on...

Add many breakdown recovery firms to that, as these days breakdown cover contracts in the UK are fast becoming insurance polices.

So, you get breakdown cover for a car and it's on terms like "nobody insured under this policy has had any insurance cancelled or declared void by an insurer".

I bet that most people in the UK have had an insurance product (eg travel, pet, mobile phone insurance) cancelled by an insurer at some point (eg due to them not being able to collect a payment from a card that had expired).

Also, I bet most of those people didn't realise or don't remember (how can an 80-year old remember if they ever had insurance cancelled) 🤷‍♂️

As usual, UK insurers don't perform such checks themselves at the point of sale of the policy. They are more keen to do so, though, if you make a big claim, so that they can justify not paying you (and making your insurance void at the same time). They're happy taking your money until then.
Totally agree.

After an unfortunate incident years ago going spectating to a rally up dirt/forest roads in my Octavia VRS where a rock holed the sump my recovery company said that was an accident so contact your insurer we will NOT recover you. Thanks for that...........

In that sense, a nail punching your tyre is also an accident, so they wouldn't cover you for a flat tyre?!

While I really like the concept of insurance, when it's implemented like in the UK today, that kind of "logic" puts me off insurance altogether.

I do my best to have appropriate cover for what is required (eg by law, mortgage agreement, etc), but don't bother with any other insurance products, as I'm pretty certain they would only pay out if it's a claim I could cover myself had I
put money aside instead of paying for these insurance products.

As an exception, I bought gap insurance for the GRY to mitigate the risk of a negative equity position with reference to the finance on the car.

People didn't like the Zunsport look at first but I think they are now going to be the way forward since all the grill damage! 😅
o_O 😁

I've only ever had positive experience of insurance products. I've had to make 3 big claims over the years 15k+ each and they've all gone through without any drama.

The only 'issue' I've had was the company I GAP'd my last car with went under...but I got all the money back so I still count that as a positive result 🤷‍♂️

I've now ordered a full set of front Zunsport grills to stop any further pigeon mishaps LOL! 😅
😁 👌

Changes tires to winter ones and discovered a large amount of gravel inside panels in the front and I cracks of said panels in the front of the car underneath the engine. I did some light rallying the other day. Brushed the road a couple times after bumps etc. I tried to poke it all out but would need to get it on one of those mechanic/garage lifts.

Also found some chips of the inside of my right rear tire. I suspect it is due to a couple left hand handbrake turns.

Hope you'll like them and may they serve you well!

I've picked up another goodie, gonna take it for a paint tomorrow.

Niiice  👌

I did look at that TOM's bumper on for sale for £1,200 but it's a little overkill for a damaged grill LOL! :ROFLMAO:
Plus I have just forked out £400 for grill covers... 😁

My car is driven in now. So i took it to the dealer today to change motor, gearbox and differential oils. He told me my car is the first GR Yaris for them to change the oils. Then he said Toyota is selling the motor oil just as a 900 l barrel and they dont want to buy it because im the only local guy who bought a GR Yaris from them. So they ordered Liquimoly with the correct rules for me and will fill this in my motor. Somebody else had a experience like this?

I would be surprised if dealers use Toyota oils except for a few specials. I haven't checked recently but a few cars back the drums weren't labelled Toyota! There are some minor differences but in general as long as the specs are met then no issues.

Put on winter tyres and rims, installed Whiteline AntiLift front bushings, rear Verkline bushings, Cusco rear diff cover for 750ml total oil in diff, and came a step closer to finish intercooler water spray retrofit, still missing some damn wires.... And finally, did geo on the car. Strangely, guy said he couldn't get more than -2deg20min (2.3333) on the front (Powerflex camber bolts). Running -2.333F, 1mm toe out total and -2R, 1mm toe in total.
Gonna go for a blast tonight to see how it feels :)

Filled the tank and set a new record - 16.8mpg. Guess those back road blasts used a bit of fuel :D

Fitted Focal IC TOY 165 speakers. Piece of piss to do, just had to open out some mounting holes to match up to the stock adapter ring.
