If I am able to get mine back from the body shop then I’m happy to post you a bit of mine 😂. When I originally asked them about keeping broken bits they said I had to get written confirmation from the insurers that I could do so which hasn’t been forthcoming. No idea why they need the confirmation.
(y)(y) That would be sweet and I could swap for some beer tokens .

Think that`s a standard insurance thing as technically they own the parts they replace like when they write the car off they own the wreck and auction it - I hate insurance companies.................

Add many breakdown recovery firms to that, as these days breakdown cover contracts in the UK are fast becoming insurance polices.

So, you get breakdown cover for a car and it's on terms like "nobody insured under this policy has had any insurance cancelled or declared void by an insurer".

I bet that most people in the UK have had an insurance product (eg travel, pet, mobile phone insurance) cancelled by an insurer at some point (eg due to them not being able to collect a payment from a card that had expired).

Also, I bet most of those people didn't realise or don't remember (how can an 80-year old remember if they ever had insurance cancelled) 🤷‍♂️

As usual, UK insurers don't perform such checks themselves at the point of sale of the policy. They are more keen to do so, though, if you make a big claim, so that they can justify not paying you (and making your insurance void at the same time). They're happy taking your money until then.

Managed to squeeze in 4x wheels, 4x winter tyres, 2 boxes of parts and my backpack.

Left the car at Toyota's since we gotta wait for diff ring(?) to fit Cusco rear diff cover. Gonna be v2.1 on Friday it seems

I’ll see what I can do but not holding my breath. Have contacted insurers to ask for the confirmation. Fingers crossed!

Yeah that makes sense - with the costs for a GR badge on eBay then maybe it’s worth it 😂😂🙃

I'd have just offered the guy a twenty or something for when they tell him to junk it, to call me and I'll come take it off his hands.

There is clearly no resale value, it's a basically fucked plastic part.

But you just set its resale value to "twenty or something" :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I mean you could look at it that way, but it's more the 'thanks for calling me, to take it away for you' to the guy who would have no reason to give you a call otherwise. As I say, it's worth f**k all, even most of the grill is worth f**k all to anyone... I expect the majority of it will end up down the tip, but if people are trying to scavenge the weak bit to use for repairs... I can't imagine many people are going to be trying to repair one of these things.

For an entire grill? Not likely, even most commercial 3D printers don't have printing areas large enough for the grill itself. You'd need something with some seriously good quality as well.

Today I have been mostly removing the ITG panel filter due to forum induced paranoia and fitting the AP carbon arch guards.

If there is a German study that says the arch guards will cause stress to the chassis and the car will be a twisted mess if I drive it, then please…don’t tell me 🤪

Hahahaha.

But as a German, I can tell you that these things really work. They hold off a lot of stone chips, my Arch Guards are already shot to pieces and I still don't have any stone chips on the side.

Oh yeah, I'm not German... I'm Bavarian, sorry

Do we have a member with a 3D printer. With tech today I'm sure some company could produce a grill that's fit for purpose and looks good
Not 3D printed, but is awesome imo!
One of first mods I've put on my car. Such a shame people don't know this, I've seen so many broken fronts on this and other forum....

Zunsport grille set

Any chance you could take a picture of it at some point? I'm not sure about the whole grill on a grill thing, and their promotion images are frankly awful. The silver image is just the black image where they've jacked up the contrast/brightness
