 OPTIMISTIC MODE ACTIVATED: At least this gives the insurance companies more time to get the GR86 on their systems to facilitate sensibly priced policies...
 
At this point, what's the point? Who's going to drive theirs in winter? It will be absolute PITA to move mine to get it wrapped and then back to the garage...

Those of us that will be using it as a daily driver! Cars like this can be even more fun when the roads are slippy, and I have every intention of spending more time driving it than washing or looking at it.

Me too, TUK have been telling me December for the last few weeks and I'll be happy to get it and drive it through winter.
 
Wont lie, I really love a clean car (and sad enough to enjoy cleaning them!) but its got to be a year round car for me too, the roads are much worse in Jan/Feb when the salt/grit starts getting used and you start getting little stone chips :(
 
Detailing in December will be a PITA and that's even in a garage. I'll have to get a heater and take a remortgage to run it as if it's too cold, fitting the spoiler will be an issue too. I'm really hoping November as I only have 3 days of holiday left that I have to use before December
 
I've got the awful feeling that what I predicted several weeks ago is coming true - they don't have a delivery timeline, so rather than being open about it, they are just working on a rolling estimate. Wouldn't be surprised if we hear nothing and then the next time someone gives them a ring toward the end of November it will be "hoping to start delivery in January"
 
No wonder when I got my confirmation call in June, I was told “end of this year or early next year” as she didn’t want to be optimistic. I guess the lady was right all along 🤦🏾‍♂️

Also hoping more and more insurers will add GR86 to their databases during the wait.

Which if they do that I'd be tempted to say I'll have it in March. Almost a year is a joke especially when the cars are here!

Drifting in the snow - think there was a US review who said stick a couple of winter tyres on and you're ready to go.
 
Well hang on, before everyone starts shooting from the hip, this has all come from one post. Nothing is to suggest it's gospel and applies for the first batch of cars. I currently have no reason to believe Novembers isn't still on, dealer hasn't said otherwise.

Mine will never see a salted road, so just hope I don't have to collect it when theyve been salted.

Garage awaits it's new occupant
