Must the brake ECU update be done in Derby? Can’t it be retrofitted at the dealership just like any recalls? Must have quite a bit of time savings if the dealers can update the cars
 
Apparently it only takes 10 minutes to update each car, according to what some European customers were told by their dealers.

The ECU update will be done alongside other things (like locking wheel nuts) as part of completing the import process and finalising the cars for the UK market. Regulatory compliance is such fun (just ask anyone trading into or out of Northern Ireland).

Of course, safety recalls and service-related updates (both software and mechanical) can be done by your local dealership, but that is for cars which are already loose in the UK market.

Do you know why they need 2 weeks Kosh? Is it paperwork they're waiting on or do they need weeks to "inspect" it?
