Don't think the auto dimming mirror was on the demo cars that were doing the rounds a few months back.
 
I'll see what I get I guess, but cars seen earlier this year were all pre-prod so not allowed to be sold or have to meet regs. Whether the silver press car is a customer spec or not I dont know. Following the Lotus forum, the Emira's floating around dealers are demo cars but not customer spec/quality, so until someone gets their actual delivery we might not know for sure. Toyota wont tell us thats for sure ;-)

I presume you say that in jest?

You're not going to buy a limited run sports car, probably the very last of it's kind, because it's not got an auto dipping rear view mirror?

I have a feeling Toyota might up the gfv by about 1k. The online finance calculator has gone up by 900ish so far. Brings the monthly down a bit but leaves a bigger balloon.
 
I was being serious about the mirror. Its ridiculous. What else will be missing?

My Fiesta ST has finally arrived with allsorts of stuff missing. Handbrake lever from the most poverty spec trim ford available. Driver window is one touch down only, up and passenger up down is not one touch. Safety features missing. No folding mirrors. No sunglasses holder. No interior lighting in certain places.

I've no idea what the GR86 will drive like either. The fun of it will come from having a responsive engine and gearbox, if they add a flywheel from a artic lorry, clutch delay valve and engine mapping designed to hang onto revs its ruined. This is an engine and gearbox thats going to need to respond like a Honda K20 does. Don't forget it's got that god awful sound generator speaker thing too thank goodness it can be disabled.

On the fence about the GR86 if I'm honest. On paper it sounds good but there's plenty to go wrong.
 
My order confirmation was shortly before 11. I had a phone call from TUK quite a few weeks back and even at that point the suggestion was I wouldn’t see my car this year. A tentative 2023 was offered when asked as a ballpark “date” .

I must admit at this point of the year I’m not overly upset about not being among the “lucky” early orders. Following all the news of liquid gasket issues, uncertainty on spec, the holding of physical cars that have landed on UK soil and the shambolic lack of comms from Toyota all round it’s leaving a bitter taste in my mouth. I expected far better from a Japanese manufacturer if I’m honest!

The article isn't written on the day of publishing. I am sure it would have been written weeks ago when the solution hadn't been approved.

I understand people are frustrated, but we are close to getting our cars. The issue has a fix, cars are getting delivered in Europe.

safe to say in the right hands its a fantastic sports car :) the guy knows the track and is brilliant but the way it passes much more powerful (but heavier) cars is impressive, almost all in braking and cornering which is where the fun can be had on the road. It looks genuinely quick!

Haven't checked here in a while!

Apparently Belgium, Spain, Italy and Switzerland started to pick up their first cars, what about us?

Or we are third world country now?

I appreciate your prompt and honest response on the matter.

I will be on a lookout for any bird poo on my yard, and pass any information back to Toyota UK / Dealerships with my findings.

Wasn’t there a chap that said a couple of weeks ago that they had it on good authority that Toyota GB would be sending out an email update within the next 10 days or something?

Admittedly the email update probably would have said next to nothing knowing Toyota but even still, is it really that much to hope for some comms?
