GR86 GR86 Delivery Tracking and Collection thread

Looks like there is c34 GR centres in the UK, hopefully those who's cars are in the UK/almost ready to collect get offered a test drive as priority. Think I read they'd have roaming demo cars rather than 1 per centre so whether everyone will have chance to drive a car before they get told theirs is ready to collect will be interesting.
It would take some will power to tell the dealer to hold onto my car until I've test driven a demo (rather test drive a car you can use the full rev range than my own).

I’m with Beadles in Maidstone and dealer contacted me yesterday to advise the delivery date on the system is March 23. Told him that’s unlikely as I was told I am back of queue.

I mentioned about demo cars and he said he’ll look into it and get back to me. Will post here if I get any updates.

Just a quick update on the progress of my order (which was confirmed at 10:22am on the 20th April 2022) - I received an email from Toyota Online Retail at 11:00pm last night advising me that my GR86 has moved to the Left the Factory stage on the Vehicle Order Tracker and have therefore changed my vote in Post #1 on the UK GR86 Order Status thread to reflect that.

Mine was in the pre order batch of very early cars, so it should be one of the very first, I’ll chase an update from Toyota today as I’ve heard nowt.
Mine was before the official release date order too but I've been told mine will not be with me until mid December when I called for an update yesterday

My car is in Derby currently and I will not accept delivery prior to having a decent test drive in a demo car.

I think the 10+ drivers that have moved /driven your car before you would have already tested the full rev range😂

If it gets to the dealer mid December then i'd not want it until Jan 1st or just after....

But I already said that about a mid Aug delivery and waiting for September 1st.

All seems implausible at the moment, you'd really think Toyota would just issue some form of communication to those who put deposits down.

I have contacted Toyota today for an update and checked online with the developer tool my delivery date of October 17 has disappeared and there is now no date. On the phone was informed it’s likely to be late December but I can defer to January. My car has been in uk since July 10:14 order. Very helpful guy said probably get two weeks notice of delivery making my current car sale a bit of a stress. Looks like I may have to sell my daily and use the MK2 MR2

Great. Another delay that you only get informed about if you actually ask :/

I wouldn’t be surprised if the newer cars that have just been built and shipped don’t have the brake issue and will be delivered before the older ones that are sat around awaiting for the recall. Hence why the dates are all over the place

Me too   , now I just need to work out how to determine what ship it maybe on:unsure:(y)
For info - mine made it onto a ship the day before the MyToyota app updated to say it had "Left factory" - so if yours left the factory yesterday (Tuesday) it might be worth trying to find out what ships left Nagoya on Monday.

The way it's going I can see me keeping my current car and not trading in as all the time it's losing value to the point it's not worth trading in as it's more useful to keep it. This is farcical now as without asking I've not received any new info.

Weirdly, with how the second hand car market is currently, my car is worth more than the invoice price paid in December 2019. According to Cazoo anyway!
