GR Yaris Ships in Transit

So many of us have been through the same experience. But as soon as you pick your car up you will instantly forget the gruelling wait and the poor customer service .

If I'm honest, it feels like a software bug now you've said the same thing.

Porgy is due in on the 22nd, so I expect a few days after that we'll know if they debarked on the 22nd

salesman called to give me the bad news that my cars not been built yet and Toyota don’t know when it will be…. Maybe Dec. 🫣

Told him I was already tracking two VINs / boats based on My Toyota app (manufacture start in June) & original then revised dev tools input. He’s going back to Toyota next week to try and figure out what’s going on and who the VINs are actually assigned to, so fingers crossed. I’m a JW1 order.

I have no urgent need for the car and not hassling him, I felt sorry for him actually, cannot be easy making these dear John calls. Car will turn up sooner or later, just interested in the somewhat chaotic workflow, and dealers not appearing to even have access to the dev tools we’re all using!

Mine is a JW1 as well. Dealer confirmed it was a pearl white on the way though.

I'm still hopeful by next weekend we might get an arrived in Portbury notification

I've never seen this vin change and shipping date change before though? Did I miss hearing about that ?

Thanks for posting Corroded. Having received build notification around 22nd Aug, I was tracking Porgy (every day!) with ETA at dealers mid Oct…. Now jumped to mid Nov with a VIN change by about 500… not sure what’s going on! Red Circuit ordered 4th May 2021… no changes to my order.

How do you find the VIN number? My JX order is in transit, showing as in Cardiff now, not sure why….

Dont think you can now, could have been the issue above highlighted we knew how to get our vins and them accidentally giving two to one person may have made them update their developer tools aka F12
 
Yeah I defo have had more than one VIN. I'm eager to find out which one was the right one! If it's the same as col2 though it's the latter one now.

Personally I do think they have been mistakenly leaking VINs and possibly a double VIN customer or something as routing as a penetration test might have flagged up that data that wasn't shown to the user is being passed to them...

Just to give you an idea.....mine went from docking in portbury to derby in 3-4 days...now in derby or on the way to the dealer.

The ship seemed to have sped up when it got around spain. haha.

Fleetmon website gave exact time into portbury
 
Yeah. Fleetmon ETA seem to be quite good. They do adjust them over time though, as the boats report their own ETAs

As you travel further north the same zoom level on the map accounts for more mileage, just to do with how a sphere is mapped on a flat surface. Tis why crossing the med felt a lot faster than crossing the Arabian sea

I worked out where Bess should be at midday for the next few days, Malaga today, Lisbon tomorrow and about halfway over the Bay of Biscay on the 8th, and Minehead on the 9th.

looking forward to 2 weeks time, almost in the U.K. now
 
My dealer has advised that my new GR is at sea and due for collection Nov 4th. JX9 order, does anyone have any idea which ship this might be on?

I don't know too many ships on the move at the moment, as I stopped tracking them. If that 4th Nov is the estimated date, not the 'no later than' date, the dates would line up within five days of mine... and that would be the Viking Adventure.

I think it is likely to be though, because if you had a 4th as the no later than date... the 21st October would be the estimated date, and tbh the car should have been in the UK already for a pickup that early.

Thank you! yes I think that it is the estimated date 4th Nov.
 
The Morning Courier is due into Portbury on the 28th Oct. My dealer date has moved forward to 14th Nov so im guessing its on that one.
It has just finished unloading at Alexandria and is on its way to Sagunto with an ETA of the 23rd.
 
After a couple of weeks of watching Nogoa Port after mine went into build finally a ship (Grand Pearl) has left from dock E5 heading to Italy so hopefully I should get the left the factory update in the next 48 hours.
 
JZ8 order, went into left the factory today - would anyone have an idea on what ship it could be on? Much appreciated!
