Yeah looks like your stuck in a moment and you can't get out of it with the GR86. For me it was a choice between the Supra 2.0 and 2 series coupe, then Toyota stuck another 2k on it in June making it nearly 50k.Had it been nearer 45k then I would have probably bought the Supra.

Well. I test drove the Supra today and it completely won me over.

It was sat in the showroom. Unregistered. I got the car wow price from Hendy Toyota in Bournemouth and have an APR of 2.9% which I’m pretty damn happy with.

Brilliant buying experience from Adam at Hendy Bournemouth. Would highly recommend them to anyone. It’s nice to speak to a guy that understand why you want a Supra.

I told him I had a GR86 on order and we talked for awhile about the whole situation. Great guy. He said they had had a lot of disappointed buyers on the day.

Anyway. I pick up my brand new Supra 2.0 on Friday (possibly before) and I really can’t wait.

Thanks! I must admit. I wasn’t too keen from the photos they had put on auto trader but in the flesh it looks great. It has a blue hue to the grey which you only really appreciate in person

Does look good in real life, that colour. I saw one at my local Toyota emporium when I went there to pretend to put a deposit on a GR86 before I even knew of this fine place and you lovely people.

I was going to cancel as I’d sold my car and was expecting the GR in July as it had been showing on the app as almost ready for delivery, before the October bombshell was dropped. Toyota were very supportive and very kindly lent me a new car to drive round to keep me mobile until mine can be released, which I thought was very decent of them.

Not just the waiting and Toyota crap. There’s the what ifs, like if it gets dented will you be able to even get parts etc. If it’s going to be so rare is it just going to be pain if anything goes wrong.

I like TT's, had a few.

But they're a different car to the GR86.

Great for getting around quickly, safely, and in plush, comfortable interior, but you do eventually want a bit more fun out of it.

DSG boxes vary, but I've driven a few that were awful, really awful, so go manual box.

And then there's the Audi dealers.. Is yours a good one?

Because mine wasn't, couldn't bring myself to own another Audi because of them.

I'd stick with the GR86 if I were you.

This was part of the reason I ruled out an Alpine. Personally I'd much rather these were much more common on the road than they will be.
