Morning guys,
If you are interested in ordering a GR86 i will tell you what i know;
There will be 400 available in the UK for 2022
They start from 29,995 (TBC) and will come in 2 specs Standard and premium
Colours will be same as GR Yaris (TBC)
Customer deliveries expected from June 2022
If anyone is seriously interested or actually made their mind up and wants one we can organise that for you

We require full Name address details and a formal request with colour,spec(premium or standard)

Hi Richard. I hope the colours available for the GR86 are at least the same as the US market which has a nice range And not as restrictive as the GR Yaris. 🤔

Richard do we know if we get the rear Lip spoiler on premium models ? and option of red interior like Japan ?

GR86 for the Mrs. is on order, wondering if the EU spec will get the ducktail spoiler, ive been told the cars will arrive between April and July

@Ralf , congratulations I think you are the first person on the forum to have one on order👍🥇 As EU specs are not out did the dealer take a deposit with exact details to be confirmed once the order book is officially open🤔

My car has been on order forever, the order book isnt open yet, it's just pending, so it doesnt change anything at all,(its in, but unconfirmed)
Same case as the GR was, it's (was)a "blind order" .

They are scheduled to have a press Event at the 24hrs of NBR, they e sent out invitations (invite limited due to covid.. I declined as the 24hrs NBR is always so much fuss) , and that's on the 26th of may.. and that's getting close so the cars are on thier way.

Look at it this way, it takes 6 weeks from POD Jpn to POE Belgium, then distribution, final PDI at dealer(call it 8~9 weeks)

Same as in the UK, cars Land, then do PDI, distribution.. I predict the cars coming in by may.

Trick is not to wait, im so glad a ordered the GR Yaris whilst it was still a Stickered up pre-
prod car and got it fairly quickly.

Yes like Ralf I placed my 'order' early December. Similar to Ralf there are a cumulation of reasons as to why I've gone for it, with the imminent demise of ICE in Europe, the fact the GR86 will only be on sale for 2 years, the impact on production from COVID and the small allocation for 2022 it meant to me its not something to sit on. If prospective buyers in the UK are armed with all this information and knew they could secure one now I imagine the 400 cars would be allocated pretty quickly.

I have had nothing official yet, not even a price but this kind opportunity from Richard is more like a gentleman's agreement to get on board early. If I was to hazard a guess on specs it would be as follows:

Base
17 inch 2 tone (black with machined face) alloy wheels on Primacys, cloth interior non heated seats, keyless entry, dual climate, headunit with AA and Car play, 6 speaker audio, no ducktail spoiler (optional?)

Premium
18 inch (satin black) wheels on PS4s, 'ultra suede' half leather heated seats, keyless entry, dual climate, headunit with AA and Car play, 8 speaker audio with amplifier, ducktail spoiler, adaptive headlights.

I wonder how fast the 400 slots will be taken? Seem's like there is quite a bit of interest... I'm ready to pull the trigger on a Neptune Premium MT.

Neptune blue does look good and if it’s close to the GT86 Blue Edition should look great 😎

I‘m not a fan of all black alloys but a repaint to dark silver/ titanium would probably work for me 🤔

I think the best thing to do is contact Richard and see what the uptake has been like.

I've requested a manual premium in red or white (decided out of the 2 it will be the red)

I have my order held at my local dealer - hopefully they will be on the ball! bRed does look very nice too... I would be happy with Halo, Neptune or bRed TBH... Depending on the time of the week and my mood, my preference changes!

bRed could be the nco colour , I’m hoping it’s a deep red and doesn’t look washed out/faded as some reds do. Just needs the JDM red interior trim and it’s happy days 👍😎

Nice. I would be giving them a nudge every now and then so they don't forget about you ;) we will need to be sticking out elbows out to get what we want.

Its going to be a bit of both, its a Subaru triple coat colour from what I've read, there is a lighter crimson red sprayed over a darker layer, the light upper layer reflects more in direct light sunlight and the darker is more prevalent in indirect light. I can see it in my current GT86, in bright full sun its got a very slight orange hue to it and at sunset it looks like a deep red. Its nice but not as nice as the GRY Scarlet Flare or Mazda's Soul Red.
