With regard to problem 3, imagine if they do ‘re-spec’ it with an ISA system and then ask for more money for the extra ‘spec’ added! There is also the uncertainty surrounding Toyota finance as for those who have chosen to take it or in some cases apply to cover some bases, they haven’t actually guaranteed the offer will stand beyond quarter 3 so could hike the APR. This was straight from Toyota finance.
Problem two is if the chancellor decided to hammer high carbon emission vehicles again (as global warmings on trend after the heatwave) our cars could become a whole lot more expensive to own if we don’t get them on the road.
Problem three, having clarified with Toyota online what price protection we have, I was told should Toyota decide to update the car in any way prior to us receiving our cars we would be liable for any extra cost, ie if they re spec it at all before arrival the car could end up several thousand pounds more. She was very clear on that.
All that said, I’m much fitter now I’m relying on pedal power when I can’t steal my wife’s car, so thanks Toyota for that![]()
Errrm, no thanks, you’ve just ruined the car and want more money for it!
Even if it’s not that I can’t think of anything I’d like added that I’d want to pay extra for, the whole essence of the car is it’s not full of pointless cr@p.
