GR86 Exhausts

so what are the initial thoughts on exhausts? looks like there's going to be a lot to choose between, equal or unequal length, cats, gpfs, silenced or unsilenced, single or twin exit, I'd like mine to make a bit more noise than the standard vids I've seen but don't want to need to modify with the standard software or hardware
 
Interested in this - suspect I will want one.

Ideally easy UK supply, nothing to crazy noisy, just unleash some sound without a crazy motorway drone.
 
I'll probably look at one of the Japanese brands when the time comes but I do like the TD solution. Brother had the UEL manifold and full exhaust

Not usually a fan of big aftermarket exhausts but I love how this looks.

Personally think that is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too loud. Super obnoxious, chavvy. Doesn't suit the car at all. But you do you... personally think it cheapens the car.
 
i really like the UEL sound but dont want to have to worry about track day noise limits (esp bedford). Maybe manifold and stock exhaust?

It's great. Everyone who's heard it irl likes it. It's suits the car since it's a boxer engine. It's not a 4AGE
 
Not sure on the state of Tuning Developments as I know they were in the middle of moving but lots of 86 owners got it as a package. UEL and a map was about £1500 plus a bit for resonated or non resonated exhaust.
 
Just a catback for me, probably an Ark GRiP, I will probably fit my Fujitsubo front pipe if it fits (think the new front pipe is a bit longer)

There isn't any movement on manifolds as no one can tune them yet but I'm sure it will come with time. I will be interested to see if ECUtek will bother since these cars are so limited over here.
 
Imported a Perrin for my old GT86. I shall be doing the same for the GR.

Excellent bits of kit and not too loud. Plus they looks the nuts. So much better than the chatty standard thing.

That's what I currently have on mine. Awesome exhaust.
 
Yeah the Perrin exhausts sound spot on in the videos I’ve seen. That’s the way I’m leaning.
