How did you even manage it? The landing page for the 86 only went live a few mins before 10 (wasn’t in the menus though) and the links on that page didn’t work for at least another 15!I'm a Rogue orderer![]()
Happened to me too. I was an accidental rogue! I just presumed the ordering process was the same as the GR Yaris! How did you even manage it? The landing page for the 86 only went live a few mins before 10 (wasn’t in the menus though) and the links on that page didn’t work for at least another 15!
Toyota released the ordering page, admittedly it wasn’t linked anywhere on their website. But someone worked out if you overtyped another model with GR86 when ordering it let you place an order. I ordered mine on the 09/04 with a £250 deposit. I was waiting to place the order again on launch day as nobody was sure it would be accepted, but they emailed that morning to confirm it was.How did you even manage it? Damn and there was me thinking I was being clever by guessing the landing page before launchToyota released the ordering page, admittedly it wasn’t linked anywhere on their website. It was a cheeky reference to responses to early orders in this thread, hence the quotation marks.I'm a Rogue orderer![]()
Oh this could be interesting, I'm only on the other side of Leeds so nice and easy to get to.@ShootinJack got it correct , The Motorist at SherburnNY500 is perfect for NY Moors
Places to meet or drive to
It maybe useful to start a list of car friendly places to meet up, or where you just enjoy the drive out and the food when you get there. Here are a few to get the thread started. Been floating about here without making an account but seeing as I got my phone call thought I'd add another data point.
20/04: Order confirmation at 1011 for electric blue manual
25/04: First post order email asking for drivers licence although I'd done this within 30 mins of getting the order confirmation
29/04: Second post order email telling me the car had been added to MyT app, showed up there and the "processing order" section appeared on the site
09/05: They tried calling me at 1636, was working so missed the call
10/05: Called them back at 1000 on the nose, confirmed order was a "non covered order" meaning there was no current build slot but the factory were just adding cars as they get round to them in order that they had been processed. Told me to expect the car delivered September/October.
The lad I spoke with was super friendly and we eventually spoke about the online order experience and he had mentioned that not only had they been hammered with these orders and Toyota were expecting it to sell out in about a week but the day before someone had given them the heads up that a one day sell out was likely and that got brushed off as mad optimism so they got totally blindsided lol.
He had mentioned that they were struggling to get round to calling people promptly because the new Aygo X limited edition which was the only other online only car was now starting to get delivered and they had to start phoning those customers first while tackling the mountain of GR86 orders.
Couldn't give me a number of total orders placed but said mine was in the first quarter of the total orders, that he would be telling folk 2023 for cars at some point soon and it was indeed the whole two year allocation that was sold out which is mental but echo's what others here have said too.
Mentioned the same stuff that's been posted about test drives and the demo cars should be arriving about June but might need to travel to get it etc.
He said they had been getting some salty folk calling in asking for updates and information which is bang out of order.
I forgot to ask about possible ETA changes caused by the Subaru engine sensor issues with the other models. Think that was about it for our conversation but if I remember anything else interesting I'll let you all know lol.
I'm really pleased this has stuck. It was a cheeky reference to responses to early orders in this thread, hence the quotation marks.![]()
Ours will probably be on the same boat. They said same to me about Sept/Oct and I'm also an Electric Blue manual. My MyT is also in same state saying Order Processing and factory have the order and current status as no status in the meta data.Been floating about here without making an account but seeing as I got my phone call thought I'd add another data point.

This article seems to imply that only the Forester, Outback and Levorg are affected by the issue and that the production would shift to other models in that time, so maybe it's not all bad news? After all recalls are gonna be done at the dealers, not in factories.![]()

Yes, all you pre 20th April are rogues, the lot of ya.
The article says it only affects CB18 engines, so we are safe.
