Yeah exactly the same, hopefully will feel happier once I have actually spoken to someone to confirm I'm getting a car and a rough idea of when even if it's 2023, the waiting is just a pain!

I requested Toyota Guildford, as previously dealt with them before on another vehicle. There is another dealership closer, but there very small and from what I remember are not a GR Centre like Guildford is👍

Guessing you mean Sandhurst? That’s were mine is going, had placed an order with them before Toyota decided to make it online only!
Bracknell is GR and when I called them on the day they released the details they tried to book me an appointment for mid June!
Not had any dealings with Guildford.

Yep Sandhurst‘s the one. Been in many times before there, good guys in there. But just went with Guildford on this one because of the GR Centre part. In grand scheme of things won’t make a difference really. From reading demonstrators will be at GR centres only? But also servicing will need to be done at GR Centres too?

I'm sure you're right about the demo' cars but don't believe that to be the case for servicing. Certainly hope it isn't anyway.

Welcome , what colour and transmission did you choose ?
 
For the front I thought the plates would come on some sort of back plate, so you are screwing into this plastic shroud thing? Hope that is the case.
I assume it would be detachable

Just spoke to the very “helpful” staff at Toyota online who refused to say anything other than they hadn’t even placed the order for my car with Toyota :rolleyes:
 
My guess is those who have had a call are on the first batch shipment for UK hence summer delivery dates. My order 10:14 I've not had a call but its been processing for a while. As I said its just a guess but once the first batch is assigned they'll move onto the next batch in due course. That might mean if no call or delivery date in the 'code' on the My Toyota then it'll be later in the year for arrival... maybe ;)

Sandhurst is my nearest, I ordered a GRY through them and the guy a year ago was brilliant (he's since moved to Gford Lexus), having chased Sandhurst on the GR86 for several weeks/months and got no info/call back etc I decided to just opt for Gford GR centre as collection see what they're like.
Well I actually put my deposit down at John Roe in Hull as they were great and very keen to get people GR86s when they could, but as the order went online sadly it just made more sense to have a local pick up when living in Hampshire.
 
Since my email left my estimated delivery month blank and my local dealer had already emailed to confirm that they can see my order, I thought fire off an email yesterday evening and check if my local dealer could see the estimated delivery. They've replied saying its due in September, but I honestly don't know if they're giving me a generic estimate for most cars or one specific to my order. So ultimately my investigation wasn't much use lol (confirmed 10:20)

This looks quite tidy, might be able to get away with some strong velcro across that little mounting plate there at the top of the grill, although drilling that bit probably isn't the end of the world either, better than into the bodywork somewhere
