Cool , when is your order mate?I'm holding off calling for now, I can see my order on myT now so that's some comfort but the waiting zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz![]()
Got my confirmation email @ 10.28 did think I'd have had a call by now but any hope of cruising around this summer in my GR86 seem to be fading fast, I expect it will turn up in the middle of winter!Cool , when is your order mate?
Good news for you & nice to hear that they are still making calls, fed up waiting for mine starting to think I've been forgotten, what time was your order?Just had my call, they're about half way through the list of orders it's just taking a while to get down the list. Didn't sound like anyone would be missing out who placed an order just a case of getting the call as and when.
Also, she mentioned late Aug / Early Sept delivery 'as one of the first to arrive' (?), and also made reference to an early Aug date for it arriving in the country (I had 8th Aug showing in the sneaky dev tools so probs this) and then a handover a few weeks after. So I wouldn't go with that estimated delivery date to final destination we found in chrome as the actual 'it's ready at the dealer' date.

I might be out of date with this, but don't number plates have to be fixed with screws/bolts if driving in Europe?I was 10.12
It sounds like quite a few are specifying to not drill the number plates?
I have a GT86 and have velcro'd my current plate on which I think looks nicer than the brick, however on the GR86 doesn't look like there's much of a vertical to do this so maybe going with factory drilling is best? Where / how are you all fixing your plates?
Not far from me!Down south in Camberley, Surrey.
Don't think it does for UK? Just the lettering / spacing etc I thought the rules were around.I might be out of date with this, but don't number plates have to be fixed with screws/bolts if driving in Europe?
I don't think it's a linear thing. I imagine a lot of the orders are front loaded in terms of timing, plus those who snuck through ahead of the launch.Blimey I'm 10.28 so that's another 3 weeks to wait for the call at this rate! I'm thinking Toyota need more staff![]()
Ooops, sorry, I should have said "over on the continent".. France etc..Don't think it does for UK? Just the lettering / spacing etc I thought the rules were around.
Is anyone drilling the plate on themselves?
Just found this myself!Welcome #173, which part of the country are you ?
Just found this page myself and looks like I found a 86 neighbour too!Newbie here, just stumbled across this awesome forum. Wish I found this before ordering with all the info available. Going to be a great resource for years to come for us UK owners.
Ordered 6MT Ignition Red on the 20th April. I was very late to the party as the website was shocking with time out errors & attempting to do finance.
I had confirmation email with ORCA and separate order summary email at 11:12am on 20th April.
Called towards end of day on 20th and spoke with Toyota Buy customer service team. Who confirmed my order, as was a bit perplexed as never ordered a vehicle fully online before.
Had no call even 2 weeks after, so called again, all in hand I was assured by the agent and to await a call but nothing as of yet.
Just got to sit tight and wait I guess..
Look forward to cars arriving in July-October whenever they do arrive!
Do you mind if I ask what dealership you are shipping to?Down south in Camberley, Surrey.

I suppose like everyone I'm totally fed up with waiting for the call, you would like to think that Toyota were contacting people in order the orders were confirmed but it's probably just completely random they are more than likely pulling order numbers out a hat and calling people!I don't think it's a linear thing. I imagine a lot of the orders are front loaded in terms of timing, plus those who snuck through ahead of the launch.
