GR86 Oil cooler kit options - EU

Ansix developed a O2W cooler that some people in Canada is running with success.

Group is reviewing with them details and suggesting improvements (e.g: using adaptor to be able to use Subaru filter) and/or options (e.g: using Porsche core).

Not sure of Ok to add link from other forum here, if Ok’d I will add.

Ah this is great, I'm only interested in O2W coolers, the only option was Mocals laminova oil coolers, it's nice to see another option on the market.

I’ve recently been able to give the HEL Performance oil cooler kit a proper shakedown on track… I’m pleased to say oil temps peaked at only 105C which is a huge improvement from the 125C+ I was getting within one hot lap earlier this year!
Still happy with it? . They have a black Friday discount going on at the moment so I may as well get it now

Hi there, did any of you guys that use an oil cooler from HEL have had any issues with leaking of oil?

Cheers
Dan

Has anyone measured how much the oil pressure drops with the oil cooler installed? The only downside that makes me hesitate to install it is that it will lower the overall oil pressure under normal conditions.

If I remember Ansixauto measured. I think the oil cooler they sell has a comparison graph

I bought this (HEL) oil cooler months ago but have not installed it.

Mine weeped out of the right-side connection to the Setrab cooler on first use. It is possible to 'untighten' I suppose during final fitment in the body, double check every connection and ensure everything is very tight. Not uncommon to oil coolers I suppose.

No complaints to the HEL kit in anger - I bought the 16 row and its too good for normal use, oil sits at 73-75 on my commuting miles so I disconnect between track days. 100-105 on track days, lovely. I don't have a baffle fitted, but it only takes five minutes to fit and unfit the filter assembly (just do it before you set off for the track!)
