GR86 Neptune Blue (Dunfermline)

Again, no need - It's an official Toyota (TRD) Performance part, sold by Toyota dealerships worldwide, hence it's Toyota part number, official installation instructions and care instructions (on the sticker). It has no effect on the Warranty of your GR86 if properly installed, especially as it requires no remapping or other engine modifications to have it work. Don't sweat it, you're good.
Thanks again for the info, appreciate it.

Someone did a dyno comparison of 7 products on a stock car, link below if you’re interested.

I was going to cite this. It appears to be the best intake for performance from those tested in this group. Also, just looking at it, it looks way less restrictive than most others.

Infiniti also claim to have decent performance, but that's not a toyota part.

As conscript said though, do it for the noise. It's a lot cheaper than a cat back exhaust.

@--Rage-- That is a really useful thread (y) shame all those comparisons were before the likes of the infinity and eventuri intakes were released.

For those who don't want to read through it all. You'll only notice it at the top end but that's some considerable gain. Surprisingly, against all the intakes tested it was the best performing.

That's fine and being OEM does appeal but wasn't it said before that the US see good gains because they remove a carbon filter we don't have?
Yes, as I understand it, thats probably why most US drivers who install intakes notice improved power, because they are replacing the OEM setup.
Whereas they could get the same result just by opening the stock airbox and removing the charcoal filter.

We don't have that filter, so any gains from a new intake are marginal.

Picked up my OEM wheels from XPC Alloy Wheel Restoration in Burntisland, where they have been refurbished in PowderFX's Black Copper effect. Amazing how the colour changes and the metallic sparkles when the light hits it at different angles. I shall be properly cleaning them up and applying a Ceramic Coat sometime over the next few weeks whilst the temperatures are still above zero!
Until then, I've bagged them up and plopped an AliExpress fluffy rug inside each bag for that extra layer of protection whilst stacked in the garage.

👆Update on the above OEM Wheel refurbishment for thread completeness ... None of my Toyota Wheel Centre Caps's fit in place anymore. The coating is so thick in the recess that the caps just pop back out as they can't clip to the back face of the wheel. Broke one of them by continuing to press it down with thumbs set to 'bionic' mode (bugger...). I've since had to remove the powder coating around the recesses using a sanding tool. I'll complete the process in Spring/Summer by recoating the centres using black touch-up paint and fitting a new set of OEM caps that have just landed from Japan.

Is it worth taking them back to the place that did the refurb? I had exactly the same issue when I had the OEM wheels on my first GT86 refurbed - centre caps didn't fit. I ended up fettling the caps themselves, but it was a bit of a bodge. A couple of years later when they started to peel, I took the wheels to a more reputable place, and they were perfect, and I went to the same place last year with the GR86 wheels, and the centre caps are fine.
