GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

You turn off the lane assist I presume?
it was deactivated, it seems like a similar behaviour of the torsen on asphalt, on a completely smooth road it goes great... however the mk2 has torsen on both axles but only the front lsd?

That's the thing, nothing about this is mentioned in manual I got provided and also it is missing in mine. Sorry for asking 🤷‍♂️

The pdf of the manual is too big to share on here but I got it from the Toyota website.

Correct and why autos don’t have the option. It’s very noticeable compared to my previous manual.
I have been wracking my brains trying to determine whether it was definitely the case that it didn't have that pumped-in sound but had seen Harry's Garage vid talk about the tone difference in the sound.

I have to be honest and say I delight in the sound of the standard auto. I might be a boring old fart, but a car that is quiet for easy driving and quite throaty for the spirited b road stuff is perfect.
Which do you prefer, noise wise?

Yours is an auto, auto doesn’t have the option.
mine is 8dat but it has it.... and you can hear the difference when you turn it off... it was annoying

Edit:
but don't you notice the deep sound inside as soon as you lightly press the accelerator?!?! which is almost annoying... that comes from the speakers... it bothered me a lot because it was excessive even when going slowly, and you can feel that it is not real... I deactivated both ANC and ESE, another world.... But now I would like to try activating ANC to see if it slightly removes the rolling noise of the tires

I always felt that the fake audio wasn't that bad when I got mine gen2 auto. Well now it makes sense if it doesn't have one

So another difference in the specification from one area to another?
My dealer suggested that mine may be built in South Africa, but the V5 suggests Japan, so most likely all built in same factory? Seems a little bonkers to have quite ranging differences across countries.

They're all built in Japan, at Motomachi where the Supra, Celica and other performance models have historically been built.

They’re all built in the same factory. Dealer talking BS. The first GR to be built outside of the Motomachi Japan plant will be some GR corollas in 2026 onwards built in Derby.

No this will be for US Spec cars. They need capacity in Motomachi for the new sports car.

All eyes on TAS 2026 for news there, so many rumours flying about.

Celica, MR2, Supra replacement, S-FR...

It’s N24 this week with Morizo racing in the Gen2 DAT I wouldn’t be surprised if something came out this week as Toyota always have a big presence there but I’m thinking more upgrade parts than new car releases.

I wish someone else would try to disable it in Toyota... I'm seriously thinking I'm crazy reading you... I immediately noticed the pumped sound in the speakers... because it was unrealistic that even going slowly, it would make all that noise... it was exaggerated... with a modified exhaust and disabled ESE, it makes less noise inside 😂 anyway guys, can someone do me a favor? can you tell me the measurement from the ground to the rear wheel arch?
