Hi it quoted from 14 weeks when I ordered, it was a bit glitchy the website when I ordered and had issues going through the PCP process but when I order as a straight purchase was fine with only £250 down, no rush but wanted to make sure I got a 2022 allocation. Have my order number etc… and can see it on my account so “feels” real…. Let’s wait and see!!

^agree I sold my 21 reg GT86 the other month for almost the same as theGR86 I have ordered, seems sensible to cash in on crazy 2nd hand market.

Here we go, I won't pull out this time like with the mk5 supra
 
With UK configurator up now, I have UK and US configs up in different windows. UK Magnetite looks much darker than US Pavement, and I now I have to choose a colour when in my mind I had chosen Pavement - I did not realise they were different colours.
Appointment in dealer this afternoon.

Edited to clarify my colour quandary.

Hmmm, I would assume those are the same colours as well just different code names for US/ EU, which might not be the case? Checked other EU configurators in EU, and it looks all the same.

I had the same discussion with my dealer after seeing the colours in the launch bulletin - the blues looked different too. The dealer's view was that the colours are the same as they'd not go to the hassle of having slightly different colours for the UK.
 
I rechecked configs and Germany and Japan have the same range as UK - grey is Magnetite. US has a range with 3 different colors, Pavement, Steel and & Halo.

I don't think Magnetite is the same as Pavement, which is a shame.

I believe Magnatite is the same grey used on the GT86, so if you can find one local to you it’s possible to see it in the flesh to help make a decision. I believe Magnetite is a very dark grey 🤔

So I just phoned Toyota - they said the website wasn't live but they'd received a bunch of orders through a test site link circulating on forums. :ROFLMAO:

There are meetings underway this morning to figure out what to do with these orders to ensure fairplay and they will let customers know the outcome.

I phoned my dealer and they are still unable to order.

Thanks for the heads up. I was going to do the same but now there is no need to.

I'm glad they are discussing the fairplay aspect as some of us have followed the development of this car for a long time and have had deposits down since December. It wouldn't be right if someone just rocks up and orders one out of the blue without any other consideration.

I was also wondering about this...

It was starting to feel like being punished for using a dealer instead of the online order form!

Looks like because of this slip then the actual ordering process could be delayed! :cry:

I think many of us would all like the opportunity to see the cars in the various colours before making a choice , unfortunately it’s going to be leap of faith for quite a few folk 🤞😎

I doubt many people just rocked up and decided to drop £30K on the car on a whim over the weekend. I’ve been waiting for this since car the end of last year too, but decided not to put a holding deposit at a dealer because I wanted to keep my options open, couldn’t see that it bought me anything and wanted to enter the order myself online rather than relying on a dealer. Toyota told me they would be in touch in the next few days once the system goes live but it doesn’t look like I need to re-enter the order at a later stage. I believe they have separate allocations for dealer and online orders so I think you’ll still get a car if your dealer is on the case and gets the order in as soon as the system goes live.
