That’s the only logical explanation because no one would take delivery then immediately sell it back to Toyota as they’d get offered trade in price only. Unless there was something shifty going on like the dealer principal bought one just to resell it through the dealership

There is. The same guy drove the same road in the same manner with a Red GRY MK1 a couple of years ago.
To me the MK1 seems to behave better looking at the different views.

Anyone with a MK2 living close to Automotive Passion in Irvine? I would like to order some carbon mudflaps for my car. Unfortunately the wheel arch has changed from the MK1 so they would need to take some measurements on a new car.

Have they really?! That’s annoying. I’ve kept my carbon ones from my mk1 in the hope to put them on the new one. Guess that might not happen now! I just assumed everything from beyond the bumper would stay the same 🤦🏼‍♂️

Yes indeed, I was disappointed as well. I'm trying to avoid any cut now :(
 
Honestly... I get Mk1 and Mk2 MFF mats probably in 3-4 weeks delivered at same time.. I can compare them side-by-side and make a layout for cutting Mk2 holes in Mk1. I assume only rear ones are different and probably by not a lot.

No idea, I would say there are near on 200 Mk1's on Estonian roads. When I ordered my MK1 in Jan 2023, I was surprised I got an allocation no problem, it did take 15 months to turn up though. It seems to be the same with Mk2 but with quick delivery.. I have seen more than a handful of Mk2's on Estonian roads already.

Maybe Toyota feel bad for us having Europes highest inflation rate..

I saw some dealerships in Lithuania ordered a variety of Mk2s to be sold and they'll be available for immediate purchase in a week or so. Most of them manual
 
Does anyone know what the current state of the ballot queue/how many people have actually ordered/how many coming into the UK? I assume Toyota are just working their way down the list, and if someone says no, the next lucky sole gets the choice. I really wanted an auto but just trying to decide if it's worth the wait, or just get something else for now (different brand) and look for a 2nd hand one in a few years.....

Vantage at Leeds have a grey auto MK2 in the showroom. I sat in it and had a good look but i just don't see the extra money in it. I have come to the conclusion that the buyers need to track it and use it seriously to get any benefit out of its new features. As a road car I just don't see the point especially as the grey looked nice but I much prefer my red. The dash, well, I saw it at goodwood and thought it looked plasticky like an old type game station and when i sat in it last week it confirmed that to me again. To be fair It will probably have different digital features on it for track use so again great for them but me no I actually like the MK1 dials. £45k + £600 VED is a lot of money for it if only used on the road. No doubt it is great for the track people.
