If we leave the driving aspect where we are pushing cars on limit or way to fast for the roads. These false positives for real use cases are usually not dangerous, they scare us because we don't predict them, but usually they aren't too dangerous. My honda produces almost 0 false positives, while I hope the system might save me in future or at least limit possibility of accident. I don't have an issue with false positive here and there in this case.
I would say that these systems save at least 50 more lives than they harm. At a price of minor annoyance here and there. Annoying for petrolheads, but win for humanity.

Of course every one has had different experiences.
In my case I remember very well at least 4 very dangerous false positive and in no case any ADAS saved me from an accident, so far.
The first two cases were with a rented VW Polo that out of the blue decided that there was some obstacle on my way and activated a full-force emergency braking (nothing in sight, of course).
Luckily in both cases the cars that were following me could brake in time, otherwise I could have caused two huge accidents.
I had another case with a rented Peugeot 208, that decided to follow a wrong lane mark and was forcing me to go off road. I had to wrestle with the steering wheel quite much, and risked to lose control since it was a very bumpy road, quite a scare indeed.
The fourth one was with my Yaris Cross, that while approaching an empty roundabout it decided to activate a very heavy emergency braking.
Problem was that it was raining and the road was much slippery, and I found myself skidding into the roundabout and left without a chance to doing anything.
It would have been a sure accident with any car in front of me (luckily there wasn't any).
So to me the ADAS have been quite faulty, even dangerous sometime, and not of much help, so far.
For my use, i see zero issues with the Automatic gearbox, after watching this Video yesterday. Cant wait !
Speaking about all the safety things, as we are a authorised repairer, we have had Toyota company cars for ages, we have had the safety sense in every iteration on various models, i drive the 23 Corolla from time to time with the same multimedia and dash type as the new Yaris, and i can honestly say, i dont have any issues with all its features, i can just hold at the wheel, relax, let the car take the bends, slow down itself and accelerate with the adaptive cruise and if i drive the corolla it is always on, even in the cities, only have to really intervene at sharp turns and traffic lights if no one is ahead, only nagging thing for me has been the line thing loosing the street markings and beeping to the fact that it is not lane centering anymore, that is pretty much it, i have even driven 100 km of road with a wedged in bottle and the lane centering together with auto cruise has been stellar almost like a discount Tesla auto drive, so it depends, i like the modern things. And see no problems myself, off course, we are a small country, with mostly one lane roads each direction, and 95 % of the roads have a 90 km/h speed limit, so active cruise is a godsend to not have to work the brake all the time behind inconsistant drivers.

Was there any info if auto-box automatically upshifts on limiter or you can bounce off the limiter?

I'm sure one of the video reviews said that in at least one driving mode it would not auto-upshift at the limiter

Another good point for sure, I agree.
The ADAS work at best in optimal conditions (road, signals...), but in a troubled country like Italy they become too often a recipe for disaster.
In Italy you can find bumpy and very narrow roads everywhere with many unpredictable obstacles, road signals and lane markings forgotten from roadworks from the middle ages, hundreds of speed limit changes in a few miles range, ridiculously low speed limits everywhere...
I'd like to see a Tesla on autonomous driving trying to move in some city center in Italy... after a few minutes a desperate (autonomous) white flag would be nervously waved from the driver window...
That said, a software system that can become dangerous in complex situations is not a good safety system, in my opinion.
The system designers should acknowledge this problem and find a remedy for it, before applying it to any car for any country.

at time 11:03 the tester says that with the auto gear in manual mode, the gear settings let the engine go up to the limiter without up shifting before.
There was a Slovenian review posted which said there were between 30 and 40 Mk2 Yaris sold - population of 2 million. Quite a crazy number, but even the first GRY was very popular - currently 77 registered in the country.

She has litteraly No clue what's she's talking about. A completely rebuilt interior and she goes "the interior isn't sporty, it's missing a red line". And when she takes a f***ing Golf as An example, the most boring interior ever made.

I actually disagree about it being a crap review. I found it refreshingly honnest from someone who is not a fanatic about these cars. She didn't have a clue what a GRY was so it was nice to get her first impressions as a complete outsider to the car.
Everyone on here knows just about everything about them. They own one and are eager to find out the latest scrap of detail on the new MK2.
She wasn't doing that. She had never driven one so she was looking at a £46k small hot hatch that said Yaris on the back. I think she said she was a Golf fan so will be used to much nicer / quality cabins which is fair enough.
She clearly wasn't impressed in those first few minutes and I agree that the new dash does look cheap and plasticky. I think Mk1 looks nicer.
She wasn't brought up with it and full of all the hype we have been and probably still are. She said what she thought and i generally agree as we all know that this car is all about the driving and not the cosmetics.
As time went by she started to giggle and laugh and I knew then that she had realised what this car is all about and nothing to do with the name and plastics. She said it needed an exhaust so she joined the club there. She started spotting the important things about it.
After a short drive she said she understood why people buy into this car so it didn't take long for her to say she was starting to understand all the fuss.
We see too many reviews and comments from people who are already obsessed with it. People who love it so much they won't accept someone saying not nice things about it.
I smiled watching her get converted. A normal driver meeting it for the first time and being won over by it. That was nice to watch her being slowly converted for the right reasons ------- fun!
I tend to agree about auto gearbox comments regarding local stop start commuting and manual for more fun but that is more opinion than a technical fact.
For once I watched the thoughts of a "normal" car fan who was seeing it for the first time rather than the endless well known influencers trying to make points over others. How many reviews do we watch where after One minute you think Oh, just the same old comments.
It was like letting my neighbour who keeps looking at it go out and have a go for the first time. He would probably say the same - a bit disappointing cabin quality for a £46k car but what a car to drive - I now get it why you have one. It re-enforces my belief that at £30k+ for the Mk1 - what a bargain we got as she and many of us wouldn't really see much difference other than about £15k+
I hope to see one next weekend when I am at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
